Interesting that Senator Feinstein is backing Biden for president and not Harris.

Speaking of “interesting” (to say the least), Arnie has just come out with tentative support for Warren?!

I saw this story on the morning news this a.m. Harris must be hoppin' mad about that one. She's going to have to deal with a reality check now. Not everyone loves her as much as she thought.

With Kamala Harris dropping out of the 2020 presidential contest, Andrew Yang arguably became the top candidate of the second tier in the Democratic primary as he spoke to an audience at Colby-Sawyer College. Yang didn't dance on Harris's grave.

"I think most people underestimate the human element of running for president," Yang said. "I've been with Kamala dozens of times now on the trail. I consider her a friend. We have each other's cell phone numbers and text occasionally, and it makes me very sad to see her drop out. You know, she has a lot to offer the country. It's more human than people think. I'm going to miss seeing her a great deal."

Yang wouldn't commit to considering Harris as his running mate, but he did note that he "would 100% love to work with Kamala in some capacity" if elected.

"We have a lot of problems to solve in this country, and she's going to be a part of the solution," he said.

I'm sure if it's a white male nominee, there is a good chance he will pick harris simply because she is a woman and black. That's 2019 politics for you.

Grossly over simplistic prediction. The primary focus in choosing a running mate will be delivering the swing state voters.

As opposed to 2008, when a certain Alaska Governor was picked for... her intelligence and understanding of policy?

As opposed to 1991, when it was just sheer coincidence that Clarence Thomas was picked to replace Thurgood Marshall?

As opposed to 1980, when Presidential candidate Ronald Reagan vowed that his first Supreme Court pick - whenever it came, no matter the pool of potential nominees at that time - would be a woman?

OK...

Oh wow. Kamala Harris is out? How could this happen in the Democrat primary?

- Multiracial
- Female
- Long history of "progressive" politics at the state level.

Stances on the issues:
- Wanted national rent control.
- Wanted to possibly increase federal taxes to pay for "reparations for Slavery".
- "Free" College funded by the federal government.
- Wanted to eliminate the electoral college.
- Ban all fracking.
- Tax businesses for climate change based on their "carbon footprint".
- Proposed taxing meat production as a way to "fight climate change" and reduce consumption of red meat.
- Ban all semi-automatic weapons (rifles or pistols).
- Supported abortion up to birth.
- Wanted to eliminate Section 1325 out of Federal law decriminalizing illegal entry into the country.

Man, I don't know why a plurality of Democrats didn't want to vote for such an honest champion of the people.

Oh well, I'm sure Joe Biden will do much better in 2020, or maybe Native American Candidate 'Lizabeth Warren will change things for the better.
