The dems promised the world and delivered the Unaffordable Care Act. The most misnamed law in history and a massive tax increase aimed squarely at the middle class.

We could have had what Australia has, but no, they had to reinvent the wheel.
I don't even know what Australia's HC system is and I know that Conservatives opposed whatever similarities have been suggested.

Again, time does not change the fact that Obamacare was a Conservative alternative to the public options Liberals were going to push for. It's why you guys have never been able to come up with an alternative. Your "alternative" was already in place.

And that's another example of how bitter, spiteful, and pathetic Conservatives are. Rather than support your agenda, you'll crush it ONLY bc the opposition rolled it out. There's no level you won't sink to punish the otherside, even if you get hurt in the process.

The only reason why Bernie is even allowed upon a podium is because of his stance on Medicare for all. Not one of his other proposals would get him admission to a fire sale.

At the very best you can say only that "a minority are solidly against it".

Were the idea put to an open referendum vote and the voters given their individual say without lobbyist intervention in Washington, you'd have medicare for all within a hummingbird's wingbeat.

why..... because singlepayer would cost 6.5+ trillion dollars annually on top of our 4 trillion dollars budget...…

we would have to tax EVERYONE equally at 80% to afford that...…

do you really think the middleclass family making 50k could afford a 40k tax bill

Look at insurance companies stock value before and after obama care.

We already spend more than double per person than any other country in the world on healthcare.

But yes, lets throw more money at the problem. The government is the epitome of efficiency after all.

Jesus, why is the US so uniquely inefficient? No other country has to tax everyone 80% to have universal healthcare.
