Why was this ex-Ambassador called as a witness when she was dismissed from her position two months before the infamous Trump Zelensky phone call took place?
She is a disgruntled ex-employee who should be glad she isn't being investigated for spying on US journalists in Ukraine and for giving Ukraine officials a list of people (including Hunter Biden) who they were forbidden to prosecute.
She was interfering in foreign affairs. She preferred the previous corrupt president of Ukraine, as well as the previous corrupt president of the US

You are, of course welcome to your opinion, but he doesn't trust people he has himself appointed. Every single president has come in and been able to deal with having had a previous administration and career employees. Except Trump, who never ever has played well with others.
In fact the only people he trusts, or has ever trusted are his family (though maybe-not the wives), and this is due to Donald J. Trump's own paranoid world view and projection of his own back-stabbing ways--not because nobody in the world can be trusted other than Javanka and Junior.
