You're talking to a former stoner.

I smoked weed from 1978 til 1995.

And I call BS.

Again, especially with today's high THC strains.

The stuff going around today is nothing like the Columbian and Mexican weed that was commonly available in the 80's.

It's WAY stronger.

More comparable to the hashish that was sometimes available then.

Today's weed is like 120 proof whiskey compared to beer.

And I know people who still smoke.

A few hits and they're high as chit.

My sister in law can make a joint last a week.

They still exist?

Likely because the alcohol lobby ($$$) is stronger than the weed lobby. Buy a politician for fun and profit.

Not in small to moderate quantities. Nobody is forced to binge drink.

Oh yeh because everyone who drinks has to finish a whole bottle in one go everytime. Its the only normal way to behave. Any other behavior is a sign of insanity.

If anyone feels the need to drink in obscenely large quantities in a short time everytime, they have mental issues not caused by the drink itself.

I wouldn’t say someone who drinks beers every day after work doesn’t have a problem. The difference is that beer doesn’t stay in your system for 28 days. Also, there is no test for acute pot intoxication. So, you can’t tell if the person is still under the influence the next day(s).

Those probably wouldn't be as bad.

Still, in general, I'm against legalizing any more intoxicants other than alcohol.

There are some mild health benefits to light alcohol consumption, especially certain kinds of alcohol (namely, red wine).

There are no health benefits to smoking pot.

Weed makes you crazy. Look at what goes on in Colorado. The state is a hell hole. No one feels safe. Adding more mind altering drugs to our society is not wise. One bad move (alcohol) does not deserve another.
