South Korea says Trump asked for coronavirus testing kits, offers to send what it can

South Korea’s president said Donald Trump asked South Korea for help with coronavirus testing kits and other equipment, and officials offered to send what they could as the United States struggles to cope with the pandemic.

“Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump made a request to us for the urgent provision of test kits and quarantine products,” Moon said Wednesday during a visit to Seegene Inc., a Seoul-based company that develops diagnostic solutions.

The White House confirmed that the two leaders spoke on Tuesday but did not mention the request.

Why would we need to test for a Democrat hoax?

New York is dealing with this due to the amount of ventilators FEMA gave them, versus what they actually need to save lives. New York is becoming the new Italy, where the doctors have to play God and chose who lives, who dies.
several years ago, NY's study showed in case of a pandemic, they'd need 16K more ventilators. They studied the study, and decided not to purchase them.

Here's Politi"fact"s take on it, which is important as we wonder WHY the entire US didn't have more emergency supplies. Actually, not why we didn't HAVE them, but why we don't have a plan to ramp production to the MAX.

A 2015 New York state report said that in the case of a “severe” pandemic, the state would be short about 16,000 ventilators during the peak week. But the report did not recommend buying 16,000 ventilators, and did not indicate whether the state was at a fiscal position to purchase them.

The state did not plan to increase its ventilator stockpile because it anticipated that in the event of a severe crisis, there would be shortage of trained staff to operate them and demand would outweigh any emergency stockpile.

The report said the state had to balance the likely ventilator shortage with the need for adequate funding for current and ongoing health care expenses.
16,000 ventilators x $25K each = 400MM.

meanwhile, in NYC....

Fast-forward to Feb '19, when the City Council was startled to discover that McCray and Team Thrive are closing in on having spent an eye-popping $900 million since the program’s inception — and nobody seems to have a clue on what.

Is Trump taking it out of his personal account? Or maybe from the account that he used to deposit money from the folks he ripped off at Trump University? Your^^^above comment is one of the most stupid and ridiculous comments on the issue. How about this for a T-shirt.."MAGA, We Love Socialism".

And btw...You can thank Bernie Sanders for some of the better things on the bill. Trump's entire family has been suckling off the teat of the taxpayer from day one with their personal form of grifter Socialism and Trump's cronies will be lining their pockets on the taxpayer dime as well with their own corporate bailouts. And it were up to the orange grifter, people would be collateral damage corpses and sacrificial lambs for his holy church of Wall Street.

Trump’s statement is inaccurate.

Your missing some nuance in what the study said and, of course, left out the other part... where they rated Trump’s claim “false”.

I'm sorry Scooby but I disagree. That poor man drank something to clean fish water. It is the same as eating a Tide pod. The couple who had hurt themselves with the fish water cleaner, didn't think. They had no symptoms and used whatever had chloroquine than take safe dosages. As much I as hate Trump and think he is an idiot and caused death by inaction, he is innocent here.

Sad to see how unprepared hospitals were for this crisis. Granted, this situation is unprecedented, but I think many are scratching their heads right now.

Speaking of winning, what are all these wins Trump has to his credit? Now that the economy is wrecked, that is. We have no wall. The tariffs made our goods more expensive and caused farmers to go bankrupt, costing us even more. The opioid crisis was not addressed. We don't have a cheaper, better replacement for Obamacare. We haven't had any infrastructure improvements. Those manufacturing jobs haven't come back either. But Melania has her new tennis court and Trump improved his golf game. So those count as wins. For them at least.

To the bold.

Why does the left continue to tell this blatant lie?
