This won’t do a bit of good for the unemployed. Just takes away from social security which is probably what the Republicans want. They call it entitlements. There is no legal basis for any of the actions DT did yesterday; and totally zero for a POTUS to order treasury to send out "stimulus" or any other sort of payments.

Agree. Why don’t people get that? Trump is trying to give a raise, in effect, to workers and make it more appealing to non-workers to give up the $3500 - $4000 a month for nothing. Businesses are reporting that they can’t get staff.
Also, everyone - well, Democrats - is saying that we need to overpay people to stay unemployed because of the high UE rate. Well, first, one of the reasons it is staying high is BECAUSE people are being paid more to not take jobs. But second, the UE rate is now 10.2%, just a hair more than it was when it peaked in 2009/10, and there was NO extra money back then.
The best thing about this is the way he is setting a trap for the Democrats, enticing them to openly opposing this move, perhaps with a legal action.
Think about the politics of that. The Democrats see it. They want to pounce, but even if they win this contest of wills, politically speaking, it will be a pyrrhic victory.
Will the Democrats pounce? Yes? No? I don't know?
I suspect they will not be able to resist. They have positively lost their minds as a result of the out-of-control, malignant hatred they have for President Trump.
The Democrats have been viciously hurting and using the people of this country as pawns in order to oust Trump and regain power. Their extreme hatred and single sighted mission is paramount at any cost and it’s about time the people of this country realize that❗️
The states forced the shut downs . They can pony up to pay the bill . Plain and Simple. The rest of the world is open . Only here politics being played are forcing people into breadlines .
