No. But should they shoot dozens of shots blindly, endangering neighbors and killing an innocent woman?

They surveilled the apartment for hours ahead of time, but thought Taylor was home alone? Why wait until 2am, why not knock on the door earlier in the evening and search the apartment? They had already arrested the drug dealer. The entire thing was botched. They could have served their warrant at a decent hour. They should have known exactly who was in the apartment. Their response to the single shot was reckless and overblown as well as inept, given that Walker was not hit by any of the dozens of bullets.

In my opinion this ruling would have been correct if it was the boyfriend that had been shot instead of Breonna. They shot an innocent person who had nothing to do with the situation, what if there were kids in house?

Just because a witness heard them was irrelevant, what matters is that the boyfriend did not hear them announce that they were the police.

Maybe the eyewitness did hear them announce it, but its possible that they boyfriend didnt hear it. It was 2 am after all.

Walker didn't know it was police he was shot at ONCE. And one neighbor witness says he heard the knock and the police announce themselves. ELEVEN neighbors didn't hear the police announce themselves.

And that cop received conviction. Justice was served and the family received millions of dollars and national attention. Whats your problem?

Indeed it is.

Most gun owners claim they own for protection. Some even talk about the need for protection for the albeit rare instance of home invasion.

The occupants of the unit did not hear the police announce themselves. Only one of many neighbors claims to have heard the Police announce. Given the hour, most were sleeping.

Walker, a licensed gun owner, claims to have fired a warning shot at the floor. Apparently it wounded an officer. Police returned fire. The rest is history.

No drugs or cash were found in the premises. Glover, the ex BF, who used the address for mail, claims packages delivered to Briana’s apartment contained clothing. This should be easy to prove or disprove.

I understood the Ky DA yesterday who said there were no “ no- knock” warrants. This issue seems to be the sleeping occupants did not hear the police announce themselves before they rammed the door.

Had all parties been white it seems likely the outcomes would have been the same, all else being equal.

The insane failed War on Drugs ......

Convection ? Did you lose your Russian-English dictionary ?

No one involved in that shooting has been charged with anything except Reckless Endangerment. At least so far, that is not justice after being shot and killed in your own home.

No. That cop didn't receive "convection". A grand jury charged him for his reckless and wanton behavior. Do you understand the legal process? Grand juries don't convict anyone. They weigh the evidence that a prosecutor provides to them, and determine if charges are warranted. The prosecutor then charges the defendant. The defendant goes before a judge to hear the charges, and to determine if bail is appropriate, and to set the next court dates. The defendant's lawyers will probably have multiple court hearings to hear motions to set aside the charges, to rule out evidence, to argue a wide array of points, before this ever goes to trial. It probably won't go to trial until 2022, and police officers often are not convicted, even when the evidence is overwhelming and the average citizen would be convicted. Police officers are given more leeway for their actions that result in death and injury, because the nature of their jobs puts them in danger of death and injury and the decisions they make to avoid those risks are accepted by the public.

Do you think the drug cartels want drugs to be legalized? OF course not!, legalization brings regulations and standards with it, (forces the criminals out).
Drug laws aren’t causing the problems. Criminals who violate drug laws are causing their own problems. Just obey the law and you stay out of trouble. Why is this such a difficult concept for liberals to grasp?
