And you have no credibility by calling Americans that support Trump, "Trumpers". He isn't leading anyone over a cliff.
And you're getting mighty defensive for supporting such a crook. This will be looked back at as a dark period of history, when many Americans blindly followed a cultish leader, which has caused untold destruction on our country. Its not much different than other authoritarian regimes throughout history.
Jeez compared to Trump, Biden is a elitist millionaire politician. Trump is the poor man's candidate respectively. Flat broke and made it all the way to the White House.

They are protecting sources. The tax returns will have tracers on them both on paper and in the computer databases which would reveal who looked at what record when. Thus they are protecting sources.
What "tracers" or "databases" for years old taxes? I doubt the IRS keeps anyone's tax records for more than 6 years, let alone 10-20+ years.
All the NYT has to do is screenshot the tax info on the tax forms they claim to have and release those to the public and to Trump Org lawyer. IF they actually had them then they would have done that.
He has a great accountant and has learned how to work the US tax code. Like most wealthy people.
End of story.
Actually, and this is according to Trump himself, the IRS disputes your take on no violations. An IRS judgement regarding that audit will cost Trump $100 MILLION. He certainly doesn't believe it is End of Story, dear.
Did he do anything illegal? If so, I’m sure the IRS would have came down on him already. They don’t care who you are!.
When you have businesses operation in the millions/hundreds of millions and you take losses, you can write off most of those losses. It’s called a Net Operating Loss.
He said it during his last campaign. “Why would I want to pay more taxes than I’m legally obligated too?” I must say that I agree.

Don’t call me dear. That’s rude and also a bit creepy.
I’ll take my own cues from the IRS on this matter. Not biased forum members with bad manners.
Even IF this is true, what do they want? Do they want Trump to pay MORE in taxes than he legally has to?
What liberal in history has OVER-PAID on their taxes?
Most Americans overpays on their taxes, no matter what their political affiliation. Millions of Americans do it every year. Have you ever heard of a tax refund? It's monies paid by the IRS when we pay the government more than we owe.
Why does he need to prove false reporting by the NYT?
If Trump cares at all about his credibility that would be the thing to do. If he just wants this to go away and it is true he will make a few tweets about it, threaten to sue the NYT and move on.
