And my law-abiding, hard working uncle was brutally murdered by white men just five years after moving to this country. But he was an immigrant so you know, it doesn’t count.

Yes many white people had to endure "preemptive strikes" by black individuals. But when was the last time an entire city or town attacked you?

Our President elect said pretty crappy things about blacks in 1975 as a grown adult. Why does he get a pass?

He's a Democrat, just like Robert "KKK" Byrd. All you have to do is put a D in front of a KKK members name and you too can become a US Senator

I was not "okay". i was terrorized in broad daylight and no one who saw this assault said a word or intervened. these were big men. i wasn't welcome in 'their' neighborhood. i got the message. I never went back to that bronx volunteer assignment. in fact, i never went back to the bronx for 20 years.

Didn’t Byrd change his ways?

Also were dems more conservative back then? Then conservatives shifted to the republicans once the dema started enacting policies they didn’t like?

The video is from a 1975 documentary where just that is happening. Black people were run out of many towns by the "townspeople." There was a poet who was run out of Duncan Oklahoma because the townspeople didn't want to be taxed for a school for black people. Many riots were nothing more than the police "standing back and standing down" as the white townspeople had their way with the black population.

A Racist Attack on Children Was Taped in 1975. We Found Them.

A snippet of the documentary “Rosedale: The Way It Is” has ricocheted across the internet, upending for another generation New York City’s narrative as a bastion of tolerance.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/21/n...il&login=email

That piece ^ adds context:

Quote:
The video rolls on a sunny suburban street, and a group of black children bike toward what looks to them like a parade — there’s a small crowd, and an American flag. Suddenly, they’re swarmed by a group of white children, who hurl racial epithets and rocks. Adults gathered nearby do nothing.

The black children had bicycled straight into a white supremacist rally. ...
More info re: Bill Moyers' documentary:

Rosedale: The Way It Is

Racial tensions soared as the Spencers, a middle-class black family moved into Rosedale, a Queens white working-class neighborhood. Bill Moyers examines the fear, hatred and courage generated as the have-nots of our society battle for a tiny piece of the good life.

It is much faster to just type "1488". Expresses the same sentiment much faster.
