African Black culture was one of slavery, for thousands of years before the Atlantic Slave Trade even existed. Other culturual aspects were polygamy, the celebration of various rituals, etc. But you already knew that.
Slavery was their culture. It's how they lived. It still is in some areas of Africa, to this day. According to CNN, the latest estimate is that there are currently 9.2 million slaves in Africa, FAR more than there ever were in the US.
This is no such thing is “African black” culture. Which cultures are you referring to? Be specific. Not all cultures took part in slavery. If they were Muslim, they often did not sell other Muslims. Be specific. What cultures are you talking about?
Green mariner has hit the nail on the head. Besides resentment, hateful, ignorant, add misplaced jealousy, disgruntled envy to the list of short comings.
do you understand the context of what has happened in the United States? You enslave and oppress a group of people for centuries, then act shocked when they want to get in a metaphorical circle and celebrate themselves. I don't understand some of yall.
And why does this issue only come up with black people. I know the answer, but i just want to hear you all say it. Why aren't you all boycotting Chinatown? Why aren't you all boycotting Little Italy? Do you all boycot St. Patrick's day parades? I have not once ever heard anybody say "why do Chinese people need their own segregated area?" What about Koreatown in southern California? What about Little Havana in Miami? What about Greektown in Chicago? Are you all boycotting this stuff? But black people have a symbolic month that nobody is really forcing on you and it's a major problem? SMH
It shouldn't, but obviously it does, especially this year.
Answer the rest of the questions.
Does Asian Pacific Heritage Month frame Asian and Pacific Islands are victims?
What about the months for Hispanic, Jewish, Irish and German Americans?
Just be honest and say you don’t mind hearing about other people’s history but you don’t like hearing about Black American history. But it’s nothing but hypocrisy
This year? The month just started and YOU feel that this year the month frames Black people as victims, especially this year. That shows that YOU have a particular issue with Black people this year. Yes, black people who played a major role in the election. Black people and black the partial African descendant who is the Vice President. This year, you are particularly angry with Black people and their accomplishments. That’s all it is.
Yet you people have no problem with the same comparison in the US. It’s the best of Asians and Africans that you compare against African-Americans. But now you don’t like it when it’s Africans and Asians doing better than whites.
Why are you trying to wipe out other people’s history then? For Black people with a heritage here, slavery and Jim Crow make up the majority of their history in this country. They aren’t talking about a 5 yr period but hundreds and hundreds of years of their history.
White people freely speak about their heritages here in the U.S. but don’t want anyone talking about theirs if it makes it uncomfortable. The Civil War was a short period and yet they all talk about it. Can’t tell you how many people I’ve seen going on about their ancestors in the war and that’s a blip compared to slavery.
You don’t get to stamp out other people’s heritages because you feel like it. This country already did enough of that and you need to stop that tradition.
Exactly, so why stamp out the Black African heritage of a slavery-based culture that was imported to the US? Why not embrace that race-based society heritage that comes from their African homelands?

What in the world are you talking about? Your first question makes zero sense. Further, there were no race-based societies in Africa. The concept of race and race based society came from Europe. Nice try though.
