Why don't you ask the IRS? Since Biden, unlike Trump, has released his tax returns, if there is anything illegal it will be made public. So far--nothing. Now let's have a look-see at Trump's returns.
Does the public or the IRS determines what is illegal?
Did IRS just eat manures and accept Trump’s illegal tax returns for decades?

Looks like we're going to find out. Plus, as long as Trump reported all of his income and paid what was owed does the IRS care if some of his income came from money laundering or other illegal activities?

The tax returns are both from his personal filing and the trump organization. Each filings are part of the investigation that the DA will provide to the grand jury.
The IRS is not named as a plaintiff at this time. So if the IRS wishes to, they can proceed to do so in their own capacity.
If this is a fishing expedition, that swamp creature may not survive with a 'my pillow 'stuck under his cot in his 4 x 8 cell.
For a gent that files bankruptcy at the drop of a hat then claims how super BIGLEY rich he is. There is a lot of extreme talk out of that swamp creatures mouth.

The tax audit lie has been laid to rest, tax returns released!

The bold is the equivalent of "are you done beating your wife now"?
"Why has Donald Trump fought so hard to keep his tax returns secret?"
1) They are still secret to the public as they should be if that is what he wants.
2) He assumes there is a good chance there will be a leak of his private information.
3) They haven't been secret from the IRS and the NYS Dept of Revenue.
4) I feel a legitimate inquiry from the state should be allowed. Why were they not interested until he became President? Which makes him feel it is a politically motivated witch hunt.
Shame. Being found out...for many things.
And it has nothing to do with Dem or Rep....he was a Dem when he did many things.
It reflects on what he learned from Fred, his father.
(Personally, I think it will show he is not as wealthy as he wants everyone to think ...in fact, as
his family says - he messes up many things, always has, according to esp. his sister the ret. Judge.)

If you knew about tax returns you would know this cannot be determined from them.
You do understand this information is not being released to the public any way.
Even Forbes says he has over 2 million in assets, including all of his known debt.
You’re about as bogus as Cyrus’s investigation.
