As more and more ACTUAL science comes out along with the data we ALREADY know, those of us who knew all along that the COVID-19 response was purely political are being proven correct.
The overreaction was simply a means for the Democrats to change voting rules, mail out millions of ballots, and blame Trump for the pandemic. Unfortunately their plan succeeded at a cost of destroying millions of American lives. They got away with it.

Who knows how many doctors would sharply disagree with you? After all, unlike you, they have to see sick people every day. Doctors probably also noticed far fewer cases of other contagious illnesses as well, such as strep throat.

Lol, is the truth a popularity contest? I know many doctors, and their opinion on mask efficacy for preventing airborne viruses runs the gamut of what you have here.
Besides, we had more respiratory infections then we ever had. Are you not counting infections via COVID19? These mask mandates have become a kind of myth. When virus is low, they're credited. When high, people's compliance is blamed. With no evidence to back up either.
Let me let you in a little secret. When your body fights off a respiratory infection (be it flu or COVID19) it generates a temporary immunity to all respiratory viruses. This is why people usually don't get sick more than once or twice a year. COVID19 is not as seasonal as the flu, it's finding its hosts first, and after they fight off an infection, they're more likely to be [temporarily] immune to the flu. This is why the CDC claims getting a flu vaccine helps with the severity of COVID19 symptoms.
This is a much more plausible explanation than social distancing and masks.
