Of course he knows FL requested them. It would be inconvenient for him to admit it to his base though.
Nobody who is part of his base has a problem with the state of Florida requisitioning more ventilators, or whatever is needed here. It is a difficult situation. He is handling it the right way, while you and your people are not.
"Hospitals across Florida are now being pushed to the limit as the state fights one of the worst Covid-19 outbreaks in the nation, fueled by the delta variant.
The state accounts for almost 18% of new cases in the U.S., according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University."
Here we go with the fear-porn. Leftists are astonishingly unprincipled and irresponsible. That has been chronicled beyond credible refutation throughout this episode. There is no legitimate question about that.
Freedom to choose. Not having lying scumbags in our government telling us what we can and can not do!
So maybe he should allow them to choose then, instead of outlawing it.
If he were serious, he'd leave it up to the local governments, so they can manage based on their OWN situation.
If he were serious, he'd make a rule saying "the state can't mandate one way or the other", but instead, he only made it one-sided, saying NOBODY can have a mandate.
He's absolutely wrong here. I'd support him if he did what I said above.
My choice was to get vaccinated. Parents of children who are not vaccinated should have their children and themselves wear a mask. AFA doing what is right to the exclusion of others' rights, just take a look at the current administration. They are doing things that isn't even their legal right to do it. I have several teachers in the family and they will wear masks, even though vaccinated because IT S THEIR CHOICE!
Your choice was good -those teachers are smart. But another’s choice could hurt a lot of people. My son missed the opportunity to get vax because of a small surgery, now in God’s hands if he wakes up. We are all suffering who know and love him.
So maybe he should allow them to choose then, instead of outlawing it.

You nailed it. I posted this earlier.....What Gov DiSaster is doing is counter to traditional conservative principles....former Republicans are quick to point that out.
The Republican Party used to hold fast to the mantra that the government closest to the people governs best. It also used to support latitude among local governments to improvise as “laboratories of democracy†on everything from school curriculum to zoning and policing, under the assumption that lower levels of government are more responsive to voters.
No longer. Today, Republicans are on a binge of micromanaging local actors and punishing those who do not knuckle under. Now it’s up to the Biden administration to protect local leaders from their overreach.
I am really beginning to think the man isn't that bright.
Ignoring the fact that this is from Fox News (who is apart of "the media"), one big thing is missing here. For sake of the argument, lets say that this is actually true. If that is the case...then how is it the immigrants fault?
The article points out that everyone is getting arrested and that they were HEADED to Florida. How can the immigrants spread covid in Florida....if they're being arrested before they can reach Florida? Are they sneezing and letting their covid pathogens float down I-10?
The article mentions nothing about immigrants already being in Florida. The article is about them getting caught and detained before they could go to Florida.
So again, the question is: how can someone be responsible for something when theyre not physically there?
If I flew to Tokyo, got detained at the airport, said I was headed to the Olympics to streak across the track during the relay, and then a group of streakers ran across the track during the relay...How is that my fault? Considering I never actually...made it to the Olympics?
Instead of conveniently blaming the immigrants, as right-wing Americans have been doing for decades whenever there is a problem, maybe we could lay some blame on:
- unvaccinated Floridians who dont and still refuse to wear a mask while interacting with crowds
- vaccinated Floridians who let their guard down (im partly guilty here too)
- large events like Rolling Loud in Miami
- unvaccinated Americans from the north and midwest who have flown and driven to Florida to vacation
- dont people keep using the excuse "cases go up in the summer because its hot"...well...isn't it the summer? It's currently 91F in Orlando. We're just dropping that seasonal surge excuse now?
- again: unvaccinated Americans who have came to vacation. There's an obvious reason why we keep leaving these people out
And there's also the fact that:
- Florida is 1,000 miles away from Texas.
- Florida and Mexico are separated by a large body of water that no one would survive trying to cross
- There are 4 states that actually border Mexico...and then another 3 states that you have to cross before finally getting to Florida.
But all of that is rendered moot by the article anyway because as the article says: they were detained BEFORE they could "reach Florida." So there is no physical way that they could come here and spread their covid.
When you have to resort to "the President is loading them on buses and shipping them to cities", and "Spirit Airlines cancelled all their flights so they could ship the illegals to cities", they just sound like a paranoid idiot. And please, enlighten me, if the immigrants are being strategically shipped to cities by the Biden administration, how is covid exploding in rural and suburban areas?...
...Also...what would the Biden administration have to gain by putting the immigrants on buses and planes and letting them run wild across the US? Wasn't one of Biden's biggest promises that he'd end the virus? So wouldn't this conspiracy be him self-sabotaging himself?...
There is no conspiracy. Sure some immigrants have made it across, as they always have been doing, but:
- not every one of them is covid positive
- most of them are NOT headed to Florida
- scientifically there is no way that they could be responsible for such a large increase in cases...especially when the countries theyre coming from have not had that large an increase as Florida has. That is just...common sense.
Here is the truth: illegal immigration has been one of the biggest talking points in American politics for decades. It is one of the strongest arguments with conservatives. Desantis is running for 2024. He can't win 2024 just off impressing Florida, nor can he win simply by being a R and counting on R votes. He has to be convincing to the country. He is blaming the Florida surge on immigrants because: he knows thats what people want to hear. It cannot be anymore obvious to any objective, rational person. Most Americans are still not vaccinated, and most people - vaccinated and unvaccinated - began to drop masks. And he will not make any policy. Yet, we're really going to blame this on immigrants?
Conservatives are fascinated with calling the border an out of control crisis and pinning it all on Biden, so of course Desantis is going to say that's where the issue is coming from, because when it comes time for him to debate Biden on TV in 2024, he can use this as a trip. That is literally all it is. You know this. Him blaming immigrants also - to him - lets him get off of making any mandates. "It wasn't my policy that was the problem, it was illegals. Had they not have swarmed my state, we would've been fine." *applause*
Florida's problem are because of us. Not immigrants who have made a 1,000 mile trek. The article even says so by admitting they have been detained BEFORE they could reach Florida. And the article even said they dont know where exactly he got the statistics from.
You people think scientists have made everything up, but yet will believe anything a politician says - as long as its the guy you want in office. If it's a politician on the other team then you call them crooked. So everything Biden says, with no evidence, is clearly a lie. And everything Desantis says, with no evidence, is clearly factual. Makes sense.
And if that article was from CNN, not Fox, but said the same exact thing, yall'd call it fake news. This is nothing but wrapping the coronavirus in more partisan-politics for personal gain. Either people are truly that irrational and paranoid that they can't see it, or theyre willfully ignorant. Or just stupid.

Might I guess you listen to CNN? I posted my opinion, but like any good liberal you refuse to listen to a different point of view.

1. I'm not a "liberal." You people are so poisoned by hyper partisan politics that you just make assumption on people in 30 seconds just because they challenged you.
2. I havent watched CNN since January.
3. Your opinion, you tried to treat as a fact. And that is the problem. That fact that youve tried to push is not only false, but is not even rooted in reality or common sense. It's just slanted paranoia and willful ignorance.
3a. You are accusing me of "refusing to listen", yet you completely ignored everything I said and used the age old excuse of "youre a liberal so of course yada yada." You deflect and focus on my politics (which you got wrong) to ignore the rational facts, because they dont fit your warped worldview.
3b. You ignored the fact that the article that you posted doesnt even agree with you. So you just look silly.
4. According to wikipedia, The Daily Signal is "is a conservative American political media news website founded in June 2014. The publication focuses on politics, policy, and culture and offers political commentary from a conservative perspective. It is published by conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation."
4a. This means that there is no point in me reading that article because its clearly going to be slanted.
4b. The fact that its managed by the Heritage Foundation raelly means there's no point in giving it the time of day.
If you can find an article - from a reputable, independent, or non-slanted news source, that provides statistical data and evidence that covid-positive immigrants are being shipped in to Florida on planes and have caused our spike in coronavirus cases causing to jump to #1 in the world in case rent, then I'll believe you.

I honestly don't care if you believe me, you state facts that aren't proven just another OP-ED. I was stating opinion.
