Judge Trevor Mcfadden out of DC blocked DOJ's order on Friday. Predictably, all of the media outlets who reported on the order by Garland seemed pretty slow to report the judicial block.
As always Trump will challenge it (if he chooses to), and it will be appealed to SCOTUS. It will come out in his favor 6-3 or 5-4 in a reversal of the previous ruling. Keep trying democrats
We already know he's used different values for assets for different purposes. He overvalues them to the banks, and under values to the IRS. That's both bank fraud and tax fraud. Trump probably has more legal firepower than the IRS does and has had them tied up in knots for years.
Also, as I said above, this is likely to not be about taxes anyway, but perhaps evidence collection on other crimes.
