So why doesn’t Abbott argue for mitigation measures rather than against?
It’s almost like he wants his constituents to get sick and/or die to prove that it’s only whatever variant the illegals apparently carry that’s contagious.
It’s an interesting strategy though I wonder, if his own internal polling starts to show what the OP’s linked survey shows, what then?
Abbott encourages people to get the vaccine. He just won’t allow mask mandates and government forcing businesses to close. He also won’t force people to get the vaccine because it’s a free country. It seems simple to me. Get the vaccine if you want and if others don’t want to that’s on them.
As for illegals being allowed to come here and being allowed to travel anywhere they want without quarantine after a positive test, that’s utter bs and you know it. You or I would get in trouble if we did that but these people get a free pass? American citizens have rights and should not be demonized or forced to take experimental vaccines because illegal aliens are being allowed to do what our citizens aren’t allowed to do.
The least likely to be vaccinated are members of the most Democratic racial group.
They want tariffs. They want to restrict the actions of big tech. They want to interfere with the rights of businesses to operate their business as they choose.
Hmmm, most of those southern states have the largest black populations. So weird.

Funny story: COVID-19 vaccination rates are now on the rise across all 50 states. The number getting their first shot is up 31% from a week ago. Looks like the prospect of getting sick is proving more persuasive than other incentives.
I think a lot of people thought that herd immunity would hit before they needed to get vaccinated. They probably would have been right had it not been for the more contagious delta strain.
At any rate, if anyone on this board doesn't get the flu shot every year, then they have no leg to stand on criticizing those who don't get the Covid vaccine.
If that were true (we can argue the details elsewhere), why don't Republicans trust it? ... why are they spreading these stories about 'chips' and 'magnetize' and all that baloney?

About a year ago, I saw the mainstream propaganda media attacking Trump for not ordering enough of a certain type of vaccine. I then researched it, found out that he ordered hundreds of millions of doses from many different types (not knowing in advance which would succeed) and then CORRECTLY predicted that the mainstream propaganda media would then attack him for ordering too much while developing countries lacked the vaccines. Bingo. The propaganda is so easy to see if you are outside of the flock.
Those are also states that tend to have larger amounts of blacks, Hispanics, and millennials that get vaccinated at rates below Republicans.

If this is about shaming people who are unvaccinated as killing others than it doesn't matter the ages of the groups. What this is really about is the mainstream media being propaganda for the Democrats by selectively choosing which groups to weaponize their reporting against.
