The mess was just waiting to happen. Today, tomorrow, next December - it would have been the same.
It wouldn't have been the same if America had a leader in charge. Joe has been a do nothing failure for over 50 years and it's only gotten worse as he aged and became demented. He is totally clueless and rarely knows who he is or where he is. The fools who voted for him I guess expect that all of a sudden he was going to become competent. Even his pal Barack Obama said: 'Don't underestimate Joe's ability to (expletive) things up'. Everyone knew he is and always has been a failure at every turn.

If the Afghans cannot even respect themselves then how do they expect the rest of the world to respect them?

The Afgans were abandoned by pedo Joe. He cut off all support to them and left them hanging, that is why they deserted, they were lied to and abandoned. Joe needs to be impeached, he is a complete anti-American coward as he has always been.

Wrong. If no one wanted to be there, we wouldn’t have been there for 20 years. Obama would’ve withdrew the troops as soon as Bin Laden was killed.

When America occupies a developing country, a lot of people are benefiting. Troops getting hostile and combat pay, government workers getting more pay, contractors getting more pay, local businesses, vendors, local contractors, local tribes and warlords, local police, local military, local cell phone and internet services, NATO countries deploying their own troops. It’s a big money machine.

The only reason we’re leaving is because the Taliban fooled us into thinking it would be the end of terrorism. Its not. The thousands of prisoners freed by the Taliban will make sure of it.

you must be very young. in 2001, damn near everyone wanted us to be there.

and no, the mess was 'not just waiting to happen,' and it wouldn't have been such a fiasco if handled competently.

unfortunately our smooth-brained moron of a CIC is the furthest thing from competent.

NO, "this mess" didn't have to happen. "This mess" is a result of removing all the troops and leaving behind American civilians, translators and equipment. Biden screwed that up and had to send troops back, and now they can't seem to get them out. Lives will be lost, we look foolish and weak as a nation, our allies are angry because we've put their troops at risk, we're no longer credible with what we say, and this is a national security issue.

It wouldn't have been the same under any other president. This is a disgrace.
