Biden administration moved slowly to help Afghan refugees as it prepared to exit

Quote:
The Biden administration moved slowly for months to address the plight of vulnerable Afghans who had worked for the United States even as a deadline for U.S. military withdrawal loomed, refugee advocates said — a lull some blamed on White House concern that the influx would invite partisan political backlash amid a rush of migrants at the southern border.

I know passions are heated, but I ask you take a step back. In Afghanistan (for twenty years) under US occupation allied warlords were given young boys to rape and woman lived under customary arranged marriages.

The current members of the female population that will be inconvenienced is a tiny sliver of middle class women completely unrepresentative of the general female population.

Biden is the first president to stand resolutely against the war, and he has been punished by the media. The media never questioned the dozens of troops dying in Afghanistan due to the occupation, nor did they show the suffering of women and children under our allied war lords.

The disintegration of the Afghan state is a sign of the twenty year failure, the promoters of the war should be humiliated, instead they are emboldened.

The 'humanitarian' groups that utterly failed and the corporate interests dedicated to war are pouncing on this issue for more power, and neoconservatives are lurching back into the republican party.

But what did Biden do wrong? End the suffering and the betrayal of the American people? We were losing ground before the withdrawal, the Taliban were gaining power anyways. What could he have done different? The US Embassy advised all US people to leave the country beforehand, they ignored the advisory. They did not leave on their own accord.

If Biden had enforced an evacuation he would be blamed for the fall of Kabul. It would be said he demoralized the Afghan army. And now our NATO allies as well are pinning the blame on Biden because they have piggybacked on US imperialism for too long. They could have kept a troop presence, but they didn't, they wanted American tax payers to fit the bill.

Thousands of people have been evacuated compared to zero in Saigon. Do not fall for the lies of the Europeans, Non-profits, and corporate media. This failure is on them, Biden is the first president to stand unfaltering against the grift.

Do not attack him for this. For the border or anything else, fine, but not this. Do not be used by these globalist interlopers.
Get bent. You’ve been dreaming of America’s fall for as long as you’ve been on these forums. Of course you’re happy to see Americans die. You hate America and everything it stands for.

Not Biden, he believes it was inevitable.

This is ALL on Biden. He's voted for it and is a damn idiot.
Yeah, I would. Thank god Americans will no longer be dying in Afghanistan for zero purpose. Did the media show the names of all those people, and should they demand answers from the previous presidents?

We didn't leave them behind, the Afghan army did.

It was their weaponry that they surrendered. Our bases were handed over to the Afghan military. Are you saying we shouldn't have armed their forces?

If we took away that equipment we would be blamed for leaving them undefended against the Taliban.

Please don't fall for the lies of the NATO 'allies', MIC, media, and non-profits.

American troops were dying throughout the war, he stopped that. If we made such a deal out of their deaths over these thirteen then there would be no more military industrial complex.

These thirteen are being use not as exemplar of the failure of the war, but as an excuse for why we 'gave' Afghan to the Taliban.

And yet none of our NATO allies are willing to fit the bill. Kabul fell so we had to occupy the airport which the Taliban allowed. Those personnel were TOLD to leave the country months before and they ignored it. The failure is on the liars who said we were funding a liberal Afghan society (when in reality we were arming warlords who raped children and funding a corrupt state that existed only on paper).

It seems there has just been too much appeasement towards Pakistan when at times a slightly tougher stance is needed. I mean it's been rumored some senior people in Pakistan's ISI new Bin Laden was camping out right next to them.

I love America more than most. I think you are being manipulated by the media Jim. They never questioned Biden until now, why is that?

They want the war, they always wanted the war. Americans have been dying constantly in that fight, what about their families?

Complaining about the withdrawal is just a leeway for NATO officials and the media to argue the nobility of that war when it was all just a scam. Be mad at the people who started it, not the one trying to end it.

That doesn't matter. It's still the President's and the General's responsibility to make sure ALL Americans and Afghan's who provided great service to us are out of the country. This should have occurred BEFORE the troops were pulled.

Let's be honest, Kabul would have fallen eventually. The difference is we wouldn't have been there to get caught in the firefight.
