Correct. 95% of all abortions are sought by women who weren't using birth control when they became pregnant (54%) or used it incorrectly (41%). Quite clearly, they're using abortion as their birth control method. That shouldn't be happening. There are thousands of taxpayer-funded Title X Family Planning Clinics (read: FREE birth control) located throughout the US. They FAR outnumber Planned Parenthood clinics, by at least ten times.

This topic isn't about aborting babies with birth defects this is about women aborting healthy babies.

Reason for abortion:

Rape: 0.3%
Incest: 0.03%

And rounding out the valid reasons for abortion...

Risk to maternal life: 0.1%
Risk to maternal health: 0.8%
Fetal health issue: 0.5%

The other 98.3% of abortions are solely for the sake of convenience.

Are those men "skanks," too? What about men who encourage their girlfriends to have abortions?
There are also men who force their girlfriend, extramarital lover, and/or wife to have an abortion, as well. Not the woman's choice, it's forced on her.

You forgot:

- I would be a terrible mother (48.3%)
- I have no money (50%)

I looked that up. The all-encompassing envelope reason of "fetal health issue" constitutes 0.5% of all abortions. Just one half of one percent.

Absolutely. I said this upthread, and I say this in any discussion about abortion. It is NOT a male vs female issue, or at least not in the way some people seem to think it is, by railing against "irresponsible women" and "skanks."

If you're angry about abortion, you need to direct at least half of your anger at men, instead of blaming women 100%.

Good grief, no. I already posted the stats. It's only 0.5%, though I've seen one outlier source cite 0.69%.

Even Planned Parenthood admits that 95% of all unintended pregnancies are due to women not using birth control when they got pregnant (54%) or using it incorrectly (41%). Source: UMass Med School

How in the hell do you NOT use birth control or use it inconsistently and/or incorrectly if you don't want to become pregnant? Especially when taxpayers fund thousands of Title X Family Planning Clinics (read; FREE birth control) located throughout the US? Source: US Dept of HHS

Just as those aren't valid reasons to kill a toddler, they're not valid reasons to kill an unborn child, which according to fetal homicide laws has a right to life.

Nor is it "my body, my choice." Women who are forced to have an abortion didn't have a choice.
