I don't understand the desire of the right to make a racial incident out of what increasingly appears to be the sequela to a stabbing. We don't even know the racial makeup of the crowd. Waukesha is a white majority city, but obviously not everyone who lives there is white and there is a decent probability that some of the victims were not white.
That's very open minded of you. Are you this open minded when the races are reversed?
Oh please, if a white guy ran through a crowd at a rap festival it would have been labeled a hate crime before the victims made it to the hospital and the fact that it wasn't explicitly labeled a black event or that a handful of non-black people were victims wouldn't have change that.
If this scenario occurred, "terrorist" would be used even before "white supremacist."
You know, it's really not important for every person in America with a reply button to assume they know what's going on - immediately - every time something occurs. Sometimes wisdom is in restraint.

Moving forward, it seems municipalities need to provide an actual barrier to access to the street when there are festivals that involve people being in downtown streets. What seems like a remote possibility that police would be chasing a fleeing suspect who heads straight at the festival goers is not an extreme rarity. Lightening has struck twice.
Prayers for all the victims. The impact ripples of this travels out and out like a pebble in a pond. So sad.
Just saw a report on this horrific incident. Leftist reporter said “SUV” at least 15 times. A Ford Escape is a little unibody station wagon that weighs less than most cars. It’s obviously the fault of the non- eco friendly “SUV”, not the hate filled leftist.
I noticed this as well. You'd think the SUV acted on it's own. I bet white people designed and built it.
My initial take is that this violent career criminal was not trying to kill people but was recklessly fleeing form the cops.
Some people say he was aiming his truck at people. If that is the case, he has bad aim. He could have slamed right into the middle of the band at the back of the parade and just kept on driving, so as to hit as many people as possible. Instead, he seemed to be aiming for the gaps between people, but there just wasn't room for a truck to get through. The horrible thing is that he never stopped, but just kept his foot on the pedal and just kept driving and mowing people down.
The tragedy of this is not having him behind bars previously and the idiotic Covid shut-downs causing a 2-year backlog of court cases in the County.
This doesn't seem to be terrorism or racism to me. It is just a garden variety career criminal scumbag who should have been behind bars long ago, doing what violent career criminals do as they selfishly pursue their own interests and ignore their impact on everybody else.
Just my humble opinion. It doesn't soften the excruciating blow of carnage to innocent people, from this terrible and sad incident. It certainly is tragic, frustrating, and infuriating when one scumbag can cause such calamity among innocent people just because we live in a free society.
