She makes an interesting point, bu she is PUSHING her book

All she is doing is calling Phelps a freak, which bypasses the point of a biological man competing in women's athletics!
Virtually every single man on the planet goes through puberty and develops the puberty related advantages that are unfair to cis women. These changes are why there are separate womens athletic programs

Michael Phelps’ combination of genetic anomalies are one in a million.

People don't "transition." They're male or female, with a few exceptions of people with mixed/missing genitalia.

BTW, you didn't respond to my simple, logical idea of four types of sports competition: men, women, "trans" men, and "trans" women. What do you think?

Sports are about sports. The current hysteria for "empathy" and "inclusion" and coddling whatever delusion is currently fashionable will end. Thankfully, men will be prevented from entering women's bathrooms and other private spaces as well.
Just not enough trans individuals to have their own separate sport categories. When it comes to trans female athletes you could do something similar to what Title 9 Lawyer Donna Lopiano suggests.

"transgender women athletes competing under the women’s sports umbrella. She participates fully, identically and equally in everything but the competition. In the competition, she is separately scored: two trophies, two banners, two podiums—again, as we do with age-group and weight-class categories".

There is no issue or controversy over trans male (FTM) athletes. Almost all of them have delayed HRT and continue to compete as females.

Society changes. Biology doesn't.

"Female" is a biological sex, it is impossible to alter your biological sex.

The accurate way of saying it would be that male women would be taking the spot from females.

When forced to compete against males, female athletes will suffer......it's the reason why they separate the 2 sexes in nearly all athletic competitions.
Well there sure as heck is no such thing as "male women" either.

If they want to be recognized as a third gender. They have to compete with their own. Biological men competing with women, does that sound fair to you. Its not.

Default As Ivy League Champs Near, Conference and Penn Have Betrayed Women During Lia Thomas Controversy

https://www.swimmingworldmagazine.co...s-controversy/

Support for all? Hah. What a joke.

Thomas heads into the Ivy League Champs as the top seed in the 200 freestyle by nearly five seconds, the No. 1 seed in the 500 freestyle by 13 seconds and the top seed in the 1650 freestyle by more than 20 seconds. This setup is dominance, and the antithesis of what Thomas displayed when she previously raced at the Ivy League Men’s Championships.

The Ivy League and University of Pennsylvania will emphasize inclusion when asked about Thomas’ participation in the women’s champs. That end can be achieved by providing Thomas with time-trial or exhibition opportunities – and done in a notable spotlight.

What they won’t recognize is the unfairness that will be on display at Blodgett Pool. Nor will they recognize the damage done to the women’s sports scene, which is already routinely forced to battle for crumbs in the sporting world.

It’s simply not their concern.

How sad.

Swimming World is now getting vocal, it's about time

I'm a Team USA World Masters track athlete, mom and coach calling for the protection of women's sports

If male-bodied athletes continue competing on female teams, it will be the end of women's sports

Quote:
Numerous studies have shown males continue to hold large physical advantages over females, even when suppressing their testosterone. A male’s muscular advantage is only minimally reduced when testosterone is suppressed, and males are still 12% faster than their female counterparts after two years of feminizing hormones.

We are not just hormones. What about the impact of our cycle on sports performance? What about the impact of birth control or pregnancy? These are all valid obstacles that males identifying as females do not have to address.

The most important factor is the psychological toll. Many of the girls I coach suffer from anxiety over having to compete against male-bodied athletes. We all know the powerful scientific neurotransmitter connection between our minds and our bodies: When you think you can win, you have a better chance of doing it. It’s proven.

It's time to forget the pro(re)gressives and speak out before women's sports are gone forever

I can`t believe that Lia Thomas still has his "junk". Is he leaving the option of going back to being a man open after he wins all the medals?
Those poor girls on his team, have to shower with him, and are uncomfortable. Why do they not matter?

I honestly believe he’s a phony, when he graduates he will all of a sudden realize he wasn’t a woman after all, he was just exploring his sexuality….. look at him, he isn’t even trying to look feminine.
