It has to do with Cornell and other universities, which is what I said hours ago, and which you responded to with Alex Jones blah blah blah.

There’s a difference between the various science departments and the sociology department. The latter is mostly a jobs program for people who have no grasp on reality. Sociology has nothing to do with Covid policies.
So universities aren’t filled with “smart people who pay attention to science and facts.”

Sure they are. They are filled with some of the smartest people on the planet. Incredible discoveries are made in universities. Unfortunately, universities also have quacks and cranks, who thrive in pseudoscientific fields like psychology, sociology, economics, etc. Thankfully, the latter are not setting Covid-19 policies.

How do you reconcile you two opposing statements here?

We don't know any long terms effects yet we just keep pumping that stuff into bodies.

No one is puzzled but the anti-vaxxers. It is simply numbers of vaccinated, previously infected and virus "virgins". It all makes perfect sense to people with any sense. They are not more vulnerable - just more numerous. To suggest that unvaccinated people who have never been exposed to a virus are more vulnerable than those who have NAb's, b-cell and t-cell immunity is well - well I cant say in polite company.

But just read your own post. The reason that the virus is mild is because most of the people getting it have already had delta or have been vaccinated (because most of the people in those countries have already had covid or been vaccinated). They have partial immunity.

As for the US:

In a major survey in May 2021 they found 83% seropositivity in the US population. Since then, we have had delta and many millions vaccinated. We have enormous partial immunity and those who have it will be mostly OK But we also have maybe 70 million left, many of them children, who are covid naïve - no natural exposure, no vaccinations. It is highly likely that almost all of them are going to get omicron over the next couple months. Maybe 50-75K are projected to die over the same period in some models out today. Just like now, the vaccinated and the previously infected will have less serious cases, but unlike before they won't be spared unless boosted.

Don't need to worry. I'm boosted. It is the unvaxxed fatties and alkies and smokers and boomers that the omicron will be taking home to Jesus. In Fauci We Trust!
