Europe and Canada no longer have free speech. Suppose you are stupid and don't believe in the holocaust, you can be locked up for your opinion. It is starting to get that way here. They have had their gun rights seriously hindered. The UK has even limited the right to own a knife.
There's an anti-knife sentiment among the anti-gun movement here in this country already. You can't even sell them very easily, not because of lack of buyers, but because platforms have banned their sales as vehemently as they have guns. I have a pile of knives and no way to sell them.

Yes, “freedom of expression” is guaranteed by our Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but there’s a pretty big loophole nobody mentions. The preamble to the Charter explicitly mentions that this freedom is subject to “reasonable limits.”
There’s also the other part of the Charter where provincial governments can steamroll any freedom they want, provided they publicly announce that they’re doing so.
This is all very different from the US, where you just have the First Amendment.
But in Canada, it means that you can get fined or even go to jail based on something you say. Say something on Twitter that “wilfully promotes hatred” and you could go to jail for two years.
The fact that we let so many people in from central American and South America - whole other continent bigger than us! is a major problem. If people don't see that then we are doomed. We are already headed that way.
If we decide to be so lenient with our borders (which I am against) then it would be nice if other countries made it easier for people to get in as well. I'm not sure everyone in the US is on board with what this country will become and could be looking to leave. The problem is other countries have rules!
Why don’t Canada and European countries invite tens of millions of poor, uneducated people from the slums of the Third World to immigrate to their countries?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an answer that question.
we have a virtual open border and allow millions of uneducated, needy people across our borders.
How can you say we have "a virtual open border" when a couple weeks ago, "Border Patrol reports 2.4 million migrant arrests at southwest border this year, the most ever." The most ever!!!!
Cuba and Venezuela have been destroyed many times over. That is how the United States will end up looking.
Actually, it will no longer be the United States.
I heard there are huge lines of people waiting to get in to Cuba and Venezuela. Wonderful places with so much opportunity. Socialism is great!
