They are already covered. It's a matter of medical ethics. You can treat them in a low cost clinic or in an emergency room, but people aren't left out in the street to die.

And yes, in my personal opinion, the American people should pay more towards their own healthcare. If it means foregoing the 80 inch HDTV for a while, then, so be it.
Personally, the 20/80 polices work well: you pay 20% of the bill - the insurance picks up the other 80%.
Considering that the mean cost of a hospitalization in 2007 was between $22,000.00 and $35,000.00, this would be a mere $4400 to $7000!
Permit me a question - do you want to cover those in the country illegally?
We already do through indigent emergency room care. We don't leave people in the street to die in this country. Putting them in a public plan will save us money.

if we are talking ETHICS, illegal immigrants should be treated by their own physicians in their own country, so they are not utilizing services meant for working americans. that is stealing!
To be technical - its close to 370 million in the United States and some 37 million have no insurance - some by choice.
That means, 90% of Americans DO HAVE INSURANCE.
I do not believe these statistics. Please provide a link to show where they were obtained.
