Greeting's,

Yes indeed .... the worrisome and delusional megalomaniac's of the "Liberal" political faction which has unfortunately attached itself to the Democratic Party ... is without a doubt the greatest destructive threat to the survival of America than absolutely anything else on the face of mother earth !

Many of the Democrats way up here on the East Coast are also experiencing second thoughts regarding any further association with these unfortunate liberal folks whom are exceedingy blissful as they stand in line to swiftly flush "America" down the toliet !

The Washington Liberal Democratic Political "Nightmare On Elm Street" truly continues to take a devastating toll upon what is left of America !

If Uncle Joe "The Independent' Liberman has any smarts at all he will immediately distance himself form the pitiful liberals whom have unfortunately chained themselves to the once proud old Democratic Party and as a result have unprecedently "Tainted & Tarnished" it beyond recognition !

Besides the Independent Party deserves a measure of loyalty from whom ever becomes a member of it's ranks ... and it appears that Uncle Joe could care less !

A lot of proud and patriotic Democrats in my rather large hometown are so disgusted with themselves for ever voting for the current occupant of the Whitehouse that they are seriously trying to find an effective way to "Kick Their Own Azzzes" .............. Their disappointment & embarrassment is quite off the scale !

May we the American People find the courage and resolve to quickly and most dynamically " Set Our Beloved Country Aright !!!

Thank You / Old Lamar

and pray tell why should medicare be available to those in the 55to 65 age bracket? If this becomes law, think about how many may decide to retire early and think of the cost to the country.. This is a nutty idea...

It's simply a bailout for insurance companies. http://socialistworker.org/2009/12/0...orm-profiteers

We need single-payer!!

This bill won't address costs and sure some people will gain access to health care but there is no need for health insurance companies. What is so valuable about them that we need to funnel millions, if not billions, of taxpayer dollars to them?

In a recent column for the Hartford Courant, Lieberman cited the rising costs of Medicare to justify his opposition to expanding the government's role in health care. But in 2000, when he was Al Gore's running mate, Lieberman campaigned on a platform of offering everyone 55 and older an option to "buy-in" to Medicare. That proposal—which was a central part of the Gore-Lieberman campaign's health care plan—essentially would have created a robust public option for people aged 55 to 65.

I guess all that health insurance industry money changed his conscience.

Food for thought.
Bzzzzzzzt. Try again. As jackmccullough pointed out, Traitor Lieberman tooted his own horn to the Connecticut Post, for HAVING PROPOSED THE IDEA OF ALLOWING MEDICARE BUY-IN AT AGE 55 -- IN SEPTEMBER. And now the sonofabitch is threatening a filibuster if any such proposal is included in this health care reform bill!

What I was proposing was that they have an option to buy into Medicare early and again on the premise that that would be less expensive than the enormous cost. If you’re 55 or 60 and you’re without health insurance and you go in to try to buy it, because you’re older … you’re rated as a risk so you pay a lot of money.”

I have another daughter that has had 2 tumors removed from her knee that are so rare they were written up at by her physician at CHOC, another son that had a tumor removed from his sinus cavity at UCLA Medical Center, another extremely rare medical problem. This does not include burns broken bones, coughs, flu etc..

If it was not for those evil health insurance companies I would have been left with nothing at all to my name for eternity or you would liberals would/could have paid for my care with you tax dollars.

Get off you high horses!
Oh! My! G-d!

You are SO BLIND you cannot SEE!

Imagine if you had the same family medical issues you currently have, but were INELIGIBLE FOR INSURANCE because you lost your job at some point early in your medical problems and were DENIED COVERAGE DUE TO PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS.

Imagine if you and your family didn't have ANY insurance because you were priced out of the market PURPOSEFULLY by the insurance companies and your government didn't provide you with ANY option to care for your family aside from showing up at the emergency room as needed and then absconding on the bill, passing off the cost of your family's care on everyone WITH insurance.

How you can be so OBLIVIOUS to this concept is beyond my comprehension.

He adds nothing to the debate; he might as well make it official and announce he's a Republican.
Didn't Lieberman run with Algore for Pres and VP in 2000. hmmmm I don't seem to remember them talking about that.
