Let me make it simple for you:

Q: Why is it that people like you want states rights so bad?
A: Because the government as we know it willingly breaks the laws of the constitution, and by giving the states more power would reduce that risk.

Q: What are you hoping to gain from it?
A: Not so much gaining, as recovering the principals of the Founding Fathers. To make it that the government fears the people, not the other way around.

Q: What practice do you want to engage in that is federally protected?
A: Protected? Not protection, but freedom from being oppressed into a legal square of do and can't do. Being controlled with only an illusion of being an importance.

People had businesses before the Civil War too you know. But other than that you can lay off on the baseless bashing.

Its not baseless. That flag represents racism and treason. The people who support it want a society with either slaves or second class citizens so they feel good about themselves. 90% of flag supporters imo are racist or closet racist and in my experience they are the weakest side of the white race. Thats why they want a leg up giving to them by the states so they want have to fairly compete.

That is what the flag means to you, and it means the polar opposite to me, therein lies the meaning, the meaning that it is objective in it's meaning, it can mean whatever you want it to. But since your claim of "90% of flag supporters imo are racist" tells enough that it is your opinion and has no basis in fact. While I have never played the race card once in my time here on City-Data you have pulled it not once, but TWICE in this thread. So your arguements inherently mean nothing.

To me the flag stands for southern heritage, and relation to my southern ancestors. What other people do with the Confederate flag is their business. But the only reason why I responded to you is because you attacked it.

And what do you think about the neo-nazis co-opting the CBF to fly next to a swastika?

I am wary of them, I don't like them, I don't support them, but it is their freedom of speech.

But I have the knowlege to know that Nazis and Confederates are not the same.
