Don't put words in my mouth. I'm clearly saying the flag sucks and so do the people who fly it.

Nice try though. Next time try not lying to make a point.

thats what I say, Im not from the South so I dont have much say so in this, but with this and anything else, I think it should be voted on by the residents that make up that state, if they wanna fly the flag then let them, if its in the majority then its all good.

I disagree because some people in the South still are racists & the Confederate flag is not American anyway. It would be like a bunch of German people coming here & wanting to wave the Nazi flag. It may be legal but it isn't very smart. Maybe that's the issue. Pro-confederates aren't very smart and certainly aren't very American either.

even if a town wants to fly it for racist purposes, then let them, if you dont like it then you dont have to be there, Im half white and hispanic and I dont care who is racist and who aint, you cant change poeple and you cant always make people conform to your ways, likes or intrests, thats what makes us different and states unique and different

I also dont like when people wanna change the history of an area or change things just so certain people dont get offended.

People who judge others and what they choose to do so long as they are not hurting others and claim to be liberals (you) .... are hypocrites

Don't like the flag? Oh well..... get over it

I agree that individual people should have the freedom to wave whatever flag they want. But any public land should be forbidden to allow non-American flags. Who would want the flag of China or Saudi Arabia flying over American public land or buildings?

How about the rainbow flags lining Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood? Those aren't "American" flags, are they?

Then you should get out more. I'm neither racist NOR a moron.

Ah, so since SOME people are then the vote should be taken away from the minority?

Yes, lovely, lovely logic. Dont you have some homework to do? A girlfriend to call? SOMETHING that high-schoolers do?

And, sugarbritches, Ive proven intelligence to you more than once in another thread.
I do believe it resulted in you hitting on me via the internet. Or do you habitually "chat up" unintelligent people?

The flag is on a MONUMENT. Period. And if it comes to a vote, I'll vote to keep it.

Not sure what you are saying! "Hitting on me via the internet"? Are you female?

You're clearly entitled to your opinion...however, if you are aquainted with every last person who flies said flag so that you may make a judgement pertaining to their personalities as you just did, then I would retract my earlier statement and say you're QUITE well connected.

Otherwise I'd say you're letting your own opinions make judgements not based on fact.
