I freaking HATE being female sometimes. My husband and I are going to be volunteering on a farm tomorrow, and of course my monthly curse decided to show up today, which means tomorrow would be the worst day of the cycle. And of course, the washrooms are portapotties a mile walk away from the farm. That's not gonna be doable if I have to visit it every hour.
I may have to cancel. I don't know what real female farmers did back in the day to manage it. **** being female, it's the worst!
Well I am so stressed about the fire (niece and family had to evacuate) that I have NO stress about the house for sale and getting kicked out once a day. So there's the silver lining.

To the person who left me the anonymous note about the HOA - thanks for your concern. It's all working out fine. Much ado about nothing.
Anyway, my first world problem for the day is that my thermostat is confused. It's cold at night (by "cold" I mean under 50 degrees) and warm in the afternoons (over 72). The house is very well insulated but the heat does eventually kick on when it gets below about 68 degrees inside. Clearly that's set too high though because then it starts feeling HOT inside. Then my husband starts complaining about it being hot and wants the air conditioner turned on - but in order for it to come on, the temps have to be adjusted. So it is 46 degrees outside, 68 degrees inside but the air coming in is "hot." So my husband wants the AC on.
Sigh. He just came wandering into the office and said "I am so hot that my collar is wet with sweat." I rather doubt that. If that is indeed true, maybe he needs to go to the doctor.

Hopeing all goes well for your family members out there!
This is the last I'll post on this thread for this subject, it is off topic and not in the spirit of the thread.
It's bad. Everyone is under mandatory evacuation. I'm planning contingencies if their house burns down again.

I left my (favorite) jacket at my son's house Friday. I do have other jackets, but ... they are not as comfortable . Then today I discovered that my minime Granddaughter left her jacket in my car Friday. She has other jackets also, but....
My Nest camera was pointing too much at the road, and not just my driveway and I was getting notifications every single time a vehicle passed by on the road! DRIVING. ME. CRAZY. So then I had to drag a ladder out to the side of the house, and climb up on it (always scary), and adjust the camera to only pick up my driveway. And it was chilly and wet outside - and foggy. It was almost traumatic to me. I had to come inside and have a cup of tea.
