Over the next 20 games, the Canes have 14 at home and only 6 away. The time to do some damage is now.
They've been showing signs of something special, but they need more consistency. It would also make a nice impression, Mr. New Owner, if we could make a trade for an accomplished player to give the Canes a nice boost heading into the stretch.
Oh, and I'll be at the game tonight. If they continue to play well, we may be at quite a few more.
Extremely excited for this! I watched the press conference and saw some of what he had to say yesterday after the news broke. He definitely seems like a Mark Cuban type of owner, wants the best for everyone and is willing to pay the price for it. Really couldn't be more happy for the future of this team. I've stood by this team when they've iced fringe NHLers on the top offensive and defensive lines who struggled to make it in the ECHL even, and I've been by them throughout the relocation rumors. It hasn't been a lot of fun, and theres been times I've given up on watching them past a certain point in the season because there was nothing of value to watch until the draft.
No more, we've got a guy who wants to win and wants to broaden the footprint of his business. I'm certainly looking forward to the future of this team.
Rough loss. Refs missed a high stick on Jordan late but the Canes should have buried Washington early on in the 1st. Common theme unfortunately, outwork the opponent but still lose. You don't win Hockey games by winning the shot battle.
I'm still enjoying the newness of having a new owner so here's another article for you all to enjoy. I like the fact that he's picked the brain of Mark Cuban. As a Dallas Mavericks fan myself, I couldn't think of a better owner to have a friendship with.
Hopefully on Sunday the Hurricanes will blow the Flames out, if you literally think about it the Canes should easily win
Intentional slam by the N&O, who have never been shy about their disdain for the Canes.
I'm super excited about the new owners.
I am excited about it too.
Actually, Luke and Chip have written nice stuff.
I asked Mrs. the other night how long until we see a headline: "New Owner, Same Results."
This morning was pretty close.
