Unanimously as well at 2 a.m. after hearing from a lot of opponents for hours. Man, I'm glad I wasn't the one having to cover that event. Now the big question is when it will open.

Buc-ees has said 2025. Don't know if that means early or late, but know that a couple of their locations took about a year to complete after approval.
Once again Orange County loses out on massive tax revenue to an adjacent county right over the border. When only white collar employers are allowed to relocate to OC its obvious that income inequality and homelessness will rise. 2 Wal-Marts, all the car dealerships, Buc-ee's, and probably far more that I'm forgetting.
You joke but don't put it past corporate America to pave over beautiful park land to pave a parking lot.
That LITTERALLY is happening in UMSTEAD and Lake Crabtree Park. The airport authority is making parking lots, and also selling our beautiful lands to the highest bidder. Meh, who needs woods when we can have a rock-quarry...
If Buc-ee's sold premium French wines and cheeses, perhaps they'd get better traction in Orange County.
I mean, if they had thought ahead at all and made a more thoughtful proposal, or agreed to some of the pretty mild conditions that Orange County wanted, they’d have gotten better traction. Instead they decided to take their ball and go home because of the cult of followers. Oh, those electric vehicle charges Orange County wanted? Bucees has since announced they will put them in as standard at all their locations LOL.

I really like trees too, but the authority's purpose is to support airport operations, which means providing parking and generating revenue. It's their beautiful lands to do with as they feel necessary to achieve those goals.

Yep. Pave, baby, pave.
