Of course, when it comes to advice giving, there is no shortage of volunteers, good samaritons and cheerleaders LMAO.
And for Pete's sake, therapists suck money out of you in the long run. It's better put in an upscale restaurant
LOL There is so much wrong with this post. Let's dissect it, shall we?

I, for one, have learned many an important lesson vicariously. How better to learn than by someone who's been there and made the mistake--traveled the road and mapped out the pot-holes along the way?

Not as much money as divorce does.

So you manage to muster an, at best, civil hour in the marriage. What do you do with the rest of the time once the ambiance and wait staff are gone?
I didn't know how to get out of my engagement so I married him. For 19 years, I thought about divorce until I finally said enough. Hopefully, this isn't the same road you're headed down. But it can work if both of you really want it bad enough, even though it appears the odds are stacked against you. I wish you the best.
Wow what heart-wrenching drama! To read this thread from start to end was mesmerizing to say the least......
Cold feet sometimes warm up nicely but sometimes, they turn into icebergs with even deeper problems lurking under the surface....
I was in the "postpone it" category only to see he relented.....
The closet I've had this sort of situation was somewhat reverse and non-wedding related: Someone who I respected very much talked me out of a career choice I made as a young woman and I have always wondered "what if "....
Today, I still want to follow that path....
IMHO, the mantra "To thine self, be true" applies to both decisions along this road we call life.......hope Mr Groom made the right one for HIM.....

They're probably on their honeymoon. I hope they had a lovely day though.
Guess we may hear about it once the honeymoon is over - literally or metaphorically.
