My opinion on this is if you do hold off the sex part you get to know the person as an individual. Their likes and dislikes, their interests and hobbies. You really enjoy what you will be with 90% of the time.
Once you have sex the whole view of the relationship changes.
Plus, sex will cloud the mind. You will overlook many red flags while daydreaming of how you were touched or kissed. It's better to hold off on the physical connection and allow time for the mental connection to grow. If the person will not allow the growth of the mental connection and continues to puch the physical then they are not a good mate.
You make some good points.
I've never been much of a waiter, but then maybe thats why I have 2 divorces and enough failed relationships under my belt. I do believe if it is a LTR or serious relationship your looking for its best to put sex off awhile and really get to know the person and not have your judgement clouded by the sex. I dont know about 90 days but it dosent sound too reasonable and would weed out those that are only after sex. If you believe he/she might be the one you will spend the rest of your life with 90 days isnt really much of a sacrifice. Im not sure I could do it tho.
There would have to be a real good reason. If she already had a past sexual history where these guys did not wait 90 days, then it would be a no go for me.
On the othert hand, it might be fun to break her resolve in 3 weeks
^^^^^ This.
If she didn't tell you, how would you know?
Your preachers daughter sounds like she was on the block every weekend before you met her, you just didn't know about it.
I'm saying there are a number of options that one can take to escape having a child. Therefore, taking sex very seriously isn't necessary.
Except having a child isn't the only risk to sex. As I said earlier in the thread, sex is known to complicate relationships. It can cause you to put blinders to red flags(especially if the sex is good) and can cause two people who really aren't compatible on any level outside of physical to get together and remain together because of the physical connection/attraction. Sex should be taken seriously IMO, but not everyone thinks like me.
However it is funny that women who buy this crap that Steve Harvey sells(90 day rule) didn't have this same guidelines for men in the past. That goes to all women who try to make guys wait who were easy before.

Is that where this Op is coming from? I was wondering-especially when she talked about kids being introduced to the "so" early on(something that was discussed in Steve Harvey book). There are women you know that didn't read the book, or that had the "wait" philosophy before the book came out.
^^^^^Of course women waited before Steve Harvey, I'm just using him as an example. A lot of the women I know that adopted this stance are usually women who've Been ran threw by different guys in their past before and now want to put on the "I'm waiting" act.
i dont know any players that would wait 90 days for a girl
It's already been alluded to in this thread, but players will have sex with other women while waiting out her 90 days.
