Cool list. Your travels are impressive, based on other threads. I also think you defy the stereotype, and CD debate, that Philadelphians can be smug and provincial.

Your house sounds awesome. I love old houses with character.
I've been pondering this post, and the one that prompted it for a few days now.
I want to start by saying, what a privilege it has been to get to know you in particular here Braunwyn. I have great respect and admiration for you and your very fine mind.
Right now I also have extreme gratitude for your kind words above. Thank you for seeing me.
It has been my observation that tone of voice does not always easily transfer to the written word. Because of this, unfortunately, sometimes some of us find ourselves misunderstood.
It would never be my intent to imply that I feel I am somehow superior to anyone else here.
I simply view myself as a traveler who may have gotten further down the road than others here at this point in time.
I want to apologize to anyone who feels as though my attempts to share what I have learned on that journey felt like judgement or condemnation. I was just often so anxious to share what I know in an effort to make life easier for some than I myself had it.
My list of "20" is below.
Since this may be my last post here for a while, I hope anyone reading will overlook the fact that I went over 20. Peace

Such class. Always the bigger person. I love reading your contributions here, because they are, in fact, contributions. And the list does not surprise me at all.
I haven't looked at this thread until now and am enjoying the responses. I only made it to page 6 (for now) as I should get some work done, but here's mine:
1. Have been incredibly shy (at first) since I was a child.
2. Have unusual food allergies that make going out to eat nearly impossible.
3. Also allergic to alcohol. On the plus side, restrictions on food and drinks makes me a cheap date.
4. Great sense of humor. I have the perfect blend of Dad's dry and Mom's sarcastic senses of humor.
5. Realize and appreciate the good things in my life.
6. Charitable.
7. Willing to try new things.
8. Absolutely terrified of bats-even pictures of them give me the creeps. (Can look at cartoon ones though).
9. Am a master at killing spiders and disposing of rodents.
10. Think yard gnomes and contortionists are creepy.
11. Love to read.
12. Self-sufficient.
13. Throw awesome game night parties. Friends are always asking when the next one is.
14. Tend to procrastinate but work well under pressure.
15. Love a good challenge.
16. Surprisingly competitive yet strive to be fair.
17. Naturally pessimistic but try to find the positive in every situation.
18. Widowed at 34 but I refuse to let it define me. It's what happened to me, not who I am.
19. Love kids and animals. Like horses MUCH better when I am not on one.
20. Sentimental, compassionate, loyal, responsible and a bunch of other boring adjectives typical of Capricorns, but I am also "unpredictably predictable" according to my friends.

Interesting fact. I've only known one other person, a coworker, with this allergy, but I know it exists.
Sorry to hear about your loss. The one woman I know for whom that occurred at about the same age also kept going forward and, after some time passed, has remarried.

These lists are interesting.
I'm allergic to both yeast and sulfites so that's why alcohol is out. I don't care for the taste of it anyway and alcoholism runs in my family so I don't feel I'm missing out.
And thank you. I hope to have another long-term, committed relationship in my life (doesn't have to lead to marriage) but if I don't at least I was one of the lucky ones who got to experience love.

Being on one is better than being under one.
