The poor man? He had a wife that supported him and loved him (presumably) throughout what was probably a very stressful career and he ditches her for a 'newer model'? It's despicable on his part. It also goes to show that no matter what you do as a woman, a man will almost always leave you for something more attractive if he can. Pathetic.
cry me a river. plenty of women in this day and age cheat on their BFs for what they consider a better deal.
fact is, human beings are always looking to trade up and get the best deal they can.
What he did was very wrong... I still have a feeling he was probably a control freak at home, didn't want his wife looking good (i.e., other men looking at her), he had a role in mind for her which was wife and mother and it appears she fulfilled that role.. there are always two sides to every story and we only know what the media has given... even that I'm sure has been blown out of this galaxy.
He cheated, true. He did the right thing by resigning. I hope his wife can rebuild her life.

And no offense, but she looks like your average 60yr old white woman to me. I personally don't think she looks bad at all
I'm in no way saying to let yourself go. But men in general act like their woman isn't supposed to age. Eventually gravity takes its toll, and looks will fade.
And to be fair, if this dude wasn't in the position he was in, I'm pretty sure that broad wouldn't have been sleeping with him. He too looks like the average 60yr old
Yep! I think he and his wife look evenly matched, "average" 60 year olds. This is what a "normal" couple looks like as they age, nothing unusual about it.
Some clip today showed Paula Broadwell sitting in partial profile, across some table from Petraeus, and homegirl's got a more severely receding hairline than he does, and he's got, what, 20+ years on her...
I still think it's a shame that he lost his career. I don't think he should have had to.
