I don't hate the day, I just don't care for it to get shoved down my throat in every way when I have no one.

Meh.

The BF and I are in agreement that V-day is pretty overrated.

We both think red roses and chocolate are completely cliche. It's an excuse to mark up flowers and chocolate by 300%.

The most we will probably do is go out to dinner someplace local and then relax at my place, which is nothing out of the ordinary for us, anyway.

Besides, why do people need a stupid holiday to express their feelings for each other and show how much they care? You should be doing that every day.

Agreed.

Do you celebrate birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Easter, Labor Day, etc ... ?

I don't hate it per se. Heck - I got to celebrate it last year! This year's not looking so good.

LOL birthdays, Christmas and Thanksgiving, yes. But at this point, it's mainly for the kids sake and not the adults.

The rest of the holidays I couldn't give a rats ass about. We didn't even care about New Years Eve a few weeks ago.

I hate Valentines Day because for one day we have to be special then we go back to normal, why not be like that everyday?
