So...if a woman has a one night stand she must therefore be sexually available to any and all suitors immediately because of that? What if she tried it, found it unsatisfactory and decided not to do it again?
Does that also mean that if a woman had a FWB at age 19, she must also be open to it at 35?

As for my answer - as a guy - there is no "usually" about it. It varies from relationship to relationship - and varies wildly - as to when the right moment occurs. There is no set rules - conditions - or procedures here.

Actually, it is significant. One should only "wait" a while for sex to establish the relationship, IF - and only if - that is their partner's usual and normal standard and conviction. If you learn that your partner treats you differently than your partner usually treats other courtiers, you should rebuke the double standard and quit dating them if you have any self respect. You should want the real person, not some fake persona intended to give you a certain (false) impression. The issue is no one wants to be that person that waits patiently to come up empty handed when the partner has had losers they slept with on the first encounter in the past. That's the very definition of a chump.
There isn't a single mentally healthy individual in the world that would be okay with their future SO withholding sex for months during courtship, while having had sex with losers or "the bad boy" ASAP because they treat her differently on purpose to be judged "non-relationship" material.

I am fairly successful at playing the field and courting several women at once (I don't want a relationship at this time, too much travel), but this logical irrationality irks me. It is a reason why I am slowly moving away from hookups and casual dates and toward professionals. Logically inconsistent behavior in human relationships irks me.
