Well the problem is that I'm pretty heavily invested in this location at the moment. I have a career that I enjoy, I own a house here, my family is nearby. I can't bring myself to pack up and move just for the "possibility" that my dating situation might improve.
As to the suggestion of hiring an escort, I certainly thought it over once or twice, but always ended up thinking better of it. On the one hand, I feel like that "V" word hanging over my head is a huge mental block that I would benefit from just getting past. In the short term though, I think it would probably just make me feel worse. I mean, if it was simply a matter of sexual gratification then sure, but I'm a bit past that at this point. I want someone that actually wants me in return.
Sooo sick of the aids and stds are bad argument for weird virginity opinions. Does anyone here actually know anyone with aids?

The only people who get AIDS in the western world are people with risky lifestyles (sex workers, drug users, gay men with a death wish etc) and no medical care. People with HIV who give a **** about their health get treatment, do not get sick, do not get AIDS and do not pass the disease to their partners.
It's funny that so many adults know so little about sexual and reproductive health.
Just an aside though. STDs are no fun and can be expensive and a pain in the ass to treat.
So it goes. How small is small, by the way? Maybe it's not so bad. Is there anything bigger nearby you can visit from time to time? Or a local attraction that brings visitors.

I think the key to meeting women is general socialization with a growing number of people ... young, old, male, female, married, not, family members, not.
You've got to learn how to enjoy socialization to meet women, I think.
I don't understand the virginity obsession.....at all.
No one has given me a solid reason as to why it matters so much or why it's such a bad/good thing. I mean....it's really no ones business.
