If she was cheating...she'd be going out much more often than twice a year....she'll also be better off if he does dump her or she wises up...this type just gets worse as time goes by..
I'm not getting that from the story at all. Where do you see that he is angry at her going out, instead of angry that she lied about working late and where she was? As for dinner, sure, he could have asked her if he should get his own dinner, but it sounded to me like he assumed she was making it because she usually does and didn't bother to tell him otherwise.

Hard to say what the situation with this couple really is. All we are getting here is the nosy friend's perception of it.
Lying about where you are and what you are doing is surely wrong, and I can understand a spouse being upset over it.

That said, my ex was extremely annoyed if I was not home at 5:30 every day, working on dinner. If I wanted to go shopping or something on the way home, I swear he would call every 30 minutes wanting to know if I was on my way yet. So while I agree that lying is wrong, I can totally understand why someone would just tell their spouse they had to work late, and then go out, and fess up later, if they had to deal with a controlling jealous spouse.

Presuming that she was actually out with a "co-worker" girlfriend and not meeting up with some guy.

You missed the point. Next time, be cheerful and loving, tell her you hope she had a good time and deserved it since she's been working so hard. Try to have sex with her. Even offer to just go down on her, nothing in return expected.

Can we get them on Maury and let them do a big "reveal"? And someone please shoot a flare when they are set to go on as I only watch that show once every ten years (and that's when my remote fails)
