I'm wondering if there were issues in the marriage before this, and the child has become the excuse for you to avoid sleeping with your husband.
See her thread on her mother in law. This marriage is in big trouble.

Oh and to add to all this it sounds like his idiot brother has coronavirus. Definitely made the right move in not seeing him at all lately. I hate his family.

Agree. I'd be more concerned about sleeping in separate beds than my wife gaining 10 pounds. 50 pounds would be a different story.

If you're having difficulty weaning your daughter, talk to her pediatrician. The pediatrician would also have advice about helping your daughter get used to sleeping by herself.

Unless you're under 5 feet tall, 10 pounds doesn't sound like a big deal. On the other hand, being at home isn't necessarily an excuse for weight gain. Without the commute, we have more time to exercise (calisthenics, following exercise programs on TV, etc.) and to control our diet. I've been doing that and lost around 10 pounds so far. The exercise and healthy diet also help to keep at bay anxiety, depression, insomnia and the other things people are dealing with during this time.

I am 5 ‘ 5 so it’s noticeable. He had put on weight and recently lost 9 lbs. my appetite has really increased the past year or so. I hate it. I often feel ravenous especially around that time of the month. I’m not sure why it increased so much. I’ve blamed it on hormones.

Before corona happened I’d been going to the gym for about 6 weeks. I felt great and got down to 127. Then corona happened and I basically wasn’t leaving the house. And food became a fun activity. And I started drinking during the week which I never did. So that did not help either.

The good news is that it's an easy fix.

I have the drinks after she is asleep. Also having a drink or two is ok when breastfeeding.
