...but your man-god said that if you want to be complete you should sell your possessions and give the money to the poor. Now you've obviously ignored that so I was wondering why that was.

BTW. Do you think you could answer that in sentences that have been formulated within your own head...you know, sentences that you have actually constructed yourself? It appears that you have great difficulty in speaking other than in 'Biblequote' which, to the people you are speaking to (mainly atheists), is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

You see....we don't believe that the Bible is true - so trying to prove a point by quoting from the Bible is...well, about as useful as one-legged man at an arse-kicking contest...know what I mean?

Well just one of the many reasons I am no longer a Christian. You people cannot decide among yourselves what is true and what is not. I'll stick with my Comanche traditions; they make more sense. We think you people are posa (crazy).

Though not of my Nation, Chief Joseph's words are true:

"We do not want schools....they will teach us to have churches.
We do not want churches....they will teach us to quarrel about God.
We do not want to learn that.
We may quarrel with men sometimes about things on this earth, but we never quarrel about God.
We do not want to learn that."

- Heinmot Tooyalaket (Chief Joseph)

Jesus was far different than most believers think; he didnot come to earth to meet with believers, he came to show sinners and unbelievers that they are included in Gods salvation as well.

Jesus was a carpenter who had a beard, like Bob Villa.

Jesus loved to wear sandels. Unfortunately, sandels were completely inappropriate for Jesus' work environment.

One day when his foreman cited him for a safety violation, Jesus filed a complaint with his union rep.

After a lengthy negotiations, an agreement was reached wherein the foreman agreed he could not require Jesus to wear boots on the job if the contractor wasn't willing to provide them free of charge to Jesus.

This agreement prevented the first strike in recorded history, and that is why Jesus later became known as the great mediator.

Another intresting thing about Jesus is that he is before all things, Col. 1:17, and in him all things " Hold Together." Facinating information which actually makes John 1:1-5 the real beginning of the bible. God birthed Jesus before anythingelse was even created, what God was doing before this, is just unknown. God actually uses Jesus to do many things that are attributed to God doing himself. Fascinating relationship, Jesus really created all things, all laws of existence, and he holds all this together with his awesome power.

Hes way more powerful than I had thought.

While Jesus may have worked in the construction field, his true passion was fishing. There's nothing Jesus enjoyed more then kicking back in his john-boat with an ice cold six-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and waisting the day away.

On one cool spring morning, Jesus went by John's trailer house to see if he wanted to head out to the local river to catch some Crapi. But John had stayed up late the night before, watching Burt Reynolds re-runs, listening to outlaw country music, and drinking a few-too-many Pabst Blue Ribbons himself.

Jesus snuck by the pit-bull John kept tiedup in the front yard and tried to enter the trailer from the back door. But the back-door was locked, and Jesus couldn't knock because he didn't want to wake up the pit bull. That's when Jesus saw an open window and he immediately knew what to do.

Jesus took out his fishing pool and drew it back. In one quick swoop, Jesus cast the lure through the window, across the trailer, and the lure landed right in John's nose! A startled John jumped up, which set the lure deep into his nostral, causing enough pain to make John yelp in pain!.... That's what woke up the pit bull.

As Jesus ran from the trailer house, the pit bull was hot on his tail. But all the excitment made Jesus forgot to let go of his fishing pool! As he ran, the hook set fimrly in John's nose, and drug John across the trailer house and through the window Jesus had cast through!

Eventually Jesus took John to the hospital and had the hook removed. Even though John was pretty mad at Jesus at the time, they later looked backed on that day and had a great laugh.

And that is the story of how Jesus became known as the fisher of men.

Another interesting submissive point about this awesome egnigmatic Jesus, is that he has overcome all things and will turn all those things over to the Father God in what is called " The restoration of all things." Jesus has assured the ultimate destiny of all of humanity, and absolutely nothing can alter this.

We are indeed safe in our future!

While in school, Jesus was not a great student. His IEP gave him extra-time for things like math and spelling, but it was clear from the beginning that Jesus wasn't collage material. When Jesus learned that his school had a vocational program, he was delighted. He was going to be a construction worker!

When Jesus told Joseph and Mary, they weren't impressed. Not necessarily because they were Jewish, but as parents they had hoped Jesus would pick a professional occupation. Maybe an accountant like Matthew, or a doctor like Luke. A construction worker wasn't something that Mary could necessarily brag to her friends about.

"Jesus, you spend way too much time fishing with your friends, you need to study harder!," exclaimed Joseph. "I will not have one of my sons working as a common laborer!"

"You can't tell me what to do," screamed a teenage-Jesus, "You're not even my real father!"

That one comment ended the conversation.

The relationship between Joseph and his step-son Jesus had never been what either of them had wanted, and this comment stung Joseph to the core. After all that Joseph had been through, he could take no more. Sure, Mary could explain the pregnancy by saying a god had fertilized her, but how did she explain contracting HPV? Joseph never questioned, he just accepted.

But after this comment the relationship between Jesus and Joseph was never the same. Joseph gave in, and never said another word to Jesus about his career path.

That that is the story of how Jesus became a carpenter.

He did not say toss yourself into poverty by selling all your property and giving the money to the poor. He was a resistor to Roman occupation and knew he had to set up a mini government with a treasury.."Sell your property and put the money into a common purse and let those come who are in need and take what is needed".

That does not sound like the start of socialism- but the start of setting up a counter government..The guy was a revolutionary who did not appreciate his nation being run by imperial forces. He understood that his movement would need money to continue.

This concept has been adulterated by today's church with their tax free status- the state is now also religion. Church and state are one. Also .....try going to your church that excepts 10 percent of your wages...and ask them to cover your rent when you are in a bind- You will not receive a penny.
