About 14 years ago, Sac County Jail was full of white employees. Didn't see any blacks whatesoever, or even minorities really come to think of it.
Don't ask how I know

Regardless, the answer to his question is no. it's kind of a ridiculous question to ask, really. LOL we are a pretty long way away from white people facing some form of workplace discrimination.
In most job situations today probably not. But I don't think it's that ridiculous. It's not blatant, but subtle racism is everywhere and little microcosms exist.

I have an example from work when I was in SF, there was this white male in a medical residency class, where 8/10 of the residents are female (and most Asian), the preceding class were similar, and even all the program directors were Asian/female--there's an inherent bias to hire people like you. In one hire meeting, a discussion about this actually came up that the classes were too homogeneous, and white males in this scenario became a "diversity hire". White/male became a + hiring factor. Quota, if you can call it that, worked in the white man's favor this time, funny I know, but "diversity" can work all ways.

Lo and behold, the "diversity hire" then had some friction with a few of his female colleagues, who appeared to carry some bias in working with him--likely based on some experience in the past that made them anti-white-male-patriarchy/taking modern feminism a little too far. They were very cliquish, liked to throw him under the bus, engage in minor sabotage to make his life difficult, mostly little things.

Then one day, they found out this "diversity hire" was actually gay, and their attitudes turned a complete 180. He's really one of them, not of one of the privileged majority. The sorority antics stopped, they started being nice, inviting him to socials. So in a way minority solidarity had somehow turned into racism.

Just saying... everyone's experientially racist and stereotypes, white males can sometimes be a target. To say all of Sac has an issue with hiring white males is silly, but in certain special instances maybe not..

OP what field are you in?

It would be hard to make a claim of "white bias" keeping you from getting a job if that is the case.

Please look up the data, and get back to us.
National unemployment data 2016 Q4:
White: 4%
Black: 7.9%
Asian: 3%
Hispanic: 5.6%

Hopefully, you're getting an education in a field that's a couple of steps above the ones you're applying for, or in a different industry altogether, so you'll be competing with a higher tier of people.

Just for the record, my brother lived in Sac'to for half his career and had no problems. He didn't mention any issues like the one you're conjuring up.

Ha,ha. That's the best one I've heard in awhile!
If we use South Africa has an obvious example, then this is totally incorrect.
There are no diversity or affirmative action programs for the white minorities within South Africa.

That is purely anecdotal. Women dominate in hotel clerk jobs because men are usually able to find better jobs. Hotel jobs pay crappy wages, but it that's all you are aspiring for, why not apply at In-N-Out, they typically have quite a few 'white males' in their stores & their starting pay is $11 an hour

South Africa is still recovering from being ruled and raped by the white minority. I would not count on affirmative action there anytime soon.

Stealth selective hiring practice: Require fluency in Spanish.

Saw that a lot before I retired and moved out-of-state. Fortunately it didn't affect me and, no, I don't speak Spanish nor did I ever wish to.
