What's happening to you is not because you are white, but it might be because you have a chip on your shoulder because you have convinced yourself that you will be discriminated against because of your race and experienced HR people have a real knack for picking up on that kind of stuff.

I am one of the first to say racism exists in this country, but i'm not so sure that it's strongly influencing the job market.

Or it could be because aside from the very high up management, all of the workers on my level of work aren't white and/or male.

As I already suggested, that might be because white males are not attracted to those jobs. Lifeguard jobs are largely filled by white males, many hotel housekeeper jobs are held by hispanic and asian females, there aren't very many female auto mechanics but does any of that mean that there was some kind of discrimination that limited people of a different gender or ethnicity from being hired for those jobs?

If you are looking for work that might be a good fit because of your autism, you might want to look at this, it's a nice guide to identifying jobs might be a good fit for an autistic person https://www.iidc.indiana.edu/pages/C...rgers-Syndrome

I'm not looking for housekeeping jobs. The jobs I'm looking at are front of house, check-in/check-out type people, along with individuals who work long nights alone or with very little interaction. Also, I've looked into shuttle driving careers with hotels as well.

Either way, my primary preference for these careers is because I have experience in them and thus would be more likely to get re-hired in there.

I never implied you were looking for housekeeping jobs, I'm sorry if you inferred that. Usually when a person can't find a job in their favorite line of work, they move on. This thread has been open for two weeks and consists of 67 posts. Numerous people have tried to reassure you that you are not being discriminated against because you are a white male. Have you gained any insight from anything posted?

Do you still feel whites are discriminated against when it comes to employment? In Sacramento at least?
