Percentage-wise, Austin is growing faster than everyone else except Kennewick-Pasco-Richland, WA and Hinesville-Fort Stewart, GA. San Antonio was the 20th fastest growing by percentage. In raw numbers, Austin was 9th fastest-growing, San Antonio wasn't far behind at 14th.

Very high growth rates typically are not sustainable over time.

It includes B-more AND Towson (a major college town/suburban area) in the Metropolitan area. If I remember correctly, Bawlmore's population is a little over 600,000. The rest of the population belongs to Baltimore County (a completely different governmental entity) & the suburban communities.

and it's all in the 281 corridor i bet
and people wonder why it's so congested

move to 151 or the Southside outside 410! it's crazy how the northern arc of 410 is the AXIS of the city, but the southern arc is like a rural highway

I grew up in Northern Baltimore County, and my mom taught at Dumbarton middle school in Towson for 20 some years. I am just surprised that's all

So SATX's population is 1.8 mil? Wouldnt that make it the 5th largest city in the country or are these just projections...? I dont get the "up by " rhetoric

"up by" means that was the year over year increase of people.

San Antonio metro has a little 2.3 million people.
