Monday- Pho Cong Ly - This place is completely off their game. My last 2 visits have featured insipid broth and set-ups that were missing basil and/or were not fresh.

Today- still craving great Pho I went to try Viva Pho in Castle Hills and it was excellent. Flavorful broth with fresh meat and set-up. I think this is the best Pho in SA now. I can't wait to try other things on the menu. Only - was the Teabo. It was syrupy sweet and was unlike any I have had before.

Please do and let me know what you think. I've only had banh mi from there, French Sandwiches, Elizabeth st in Austin and from some place in Houston that a friend brought back to me that pretty much set the bar but I'm far from an expert at banh mi.

Stella Public House- Pizza, beer list, atmosphere and pricing are excellent (take notice Dough). Apps and wine list are mediocre. Knowing how good the beer list is, I want to say the wine list sucks, but ill refrain. I have since talked to others that have been and their reviews were 100% consistent with mine. Stay with pizza and beer and you can't go wrong. I look forward to going back asap.

River City seafood and grill on 1604 near Stone Oak. Everything we tried was excellent. Service was good and prices are reasonable. Will definitely be back!

I was there for a banquet a few weeks ago. The food and service were very good that night. You must have been there on an off night.
