This Boi is REALLY still blowing steam over what grocery store is top-dog...even when the general consensus is that HEB is the overall best. Go figure...

And now that his worst nightmare is coming to fruition (that dreaded HEB shouldn't DARE enter North Texas territory), he tries to make himself feel better by hoping and wishing and praying that the HEB's opening in the area will be far "fancier" than the Houston stores. Wow.

The fact someone thinks HEB is more likely to lower a places standard than Walmart (who DFW is the #1 market for) is Hilarious

I'm convinced he's just posting this stuff as a coping mechanism for the fact that Dallas doesn't have a store (yet).

Sort of like how when a store closes or a company leaves, people who are obviously disappointed about the development will say something "Let 'em go!!! We didn't need them any way!!!" to make themselves feel better about the loss.

Basically. Anyone who's been to both knows HEB is leaps and bounds better than DFW's #1 grocer (Walmart).

...Are Yall still talking?!!.....I explained my reasoning behind everything I've posted...Lets move on and start posting positive stuff about the BIG "6".

Austin is on Fire!!

NAR's List Of Top 10 CRE Markets Doesn't Include Dallas Or Houston. Here's Why
Quote:
NAR released its list of the top 10 commercial real estate markets of 2021, excluding every major Texas metro from the list with the exception of Austin-Round Rock.

Lists are like opinions. We all have one.

Doesn't make them accurate.

If its true that DFW is their #1 market then that is sad indeed. I grew up in the DFW area and even I can say HEB is the best grocer in Texas by far.

Why would Plano and Frisco stores REQUIRE it??? You make it seem like Plano and Frisco are the Park Cities or Lakewood, Preston Hollow. It could look like the oldest HEB around and as long as the prices are competitive people will shop there...even in Plano and Frisco (Walmart has locations in both cities btw).

Consumers in DFW do have a reputation in the retail/restaurant community of being quite picky. So many brands that seem to perform relatively well in other metros have tried to come here with ambitious plans (And why not? It's the 4th largest and fastest growing metro in the country) and they end up failing or having to pull back.

It is also for this reason that DFW has the distinction of being *THE* test market for new concepts.

H-E-B has to be especially careful since they're a private company and not really relying on outside financing to fund their DFW expansion. And that means making the best possible first impression they can. You may think everyone here would know about H-E-B, but you'd be surprised and those are the shoppers H-E-B will have to work hard to convince.
