Wouldn’t be very bad to have a US$ 50,000 net monthly passive income and move to Switzerland.
Second choice would be Turkey with $10K net passive monthly income.

If moving out of the U.S., does not come with financial freedom, then I’d rather keep grinding my rear end here and pay the taxes to enjoy my freedoms (whatever of that is left)

With children, England or Ticino (Switzerland), or Germany if I spoke the language.

If alone, Portugal or Greece or maybe somewhere in Sicily, perhaps Cyprus or even Israel.

Montenegro sounds interesting, but maybe a bit dicey. Russia sounds intriguing too, and if I really had to, probably Sochi or thereabouts.

In the past, I've lived in Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Greece for periods of years, lived a month in Spain and traveled there extensively, visited London many times.

As it stands, I live in a high heat/humidity climate all year round by choice and no longer feel any need to travel anywhere as in younger days. Yes, by now I must be a potted plant, as the saying goes. In fact, I learn a lot about life by observing the vicissitudes of potted plants on my balcony, some thrive, some struggle and die in slow motion. Obviously I'm on the back end of the parabola.

This question should have been accompanied by a poll, though there are probably a half-dozen threads like this on other sub-forums, some with polls.

Anyway, they're all fun.

interesting an old thread comes back to life. I would like to be a vagabond rather than have to move. I just haven't been to enough places to determine the ideal place for me.

Canada, Australia, Mexico, or...? I know there's probably plenty of areas in Europe I'd like, just haven't seen enough of it. Norway?

I'm glad my company spent the time and money to qualify me for a Green Card... but as a retiree, I just visit (often). It certainly would be an option if there was an investment opportunity there.

It is a great hub, but the additional expense and trouble of being gone most of the time, and covering HC... I would probably choose KL or BKK or Penang as a nearby place to domicile.

Singapore is really fun and safe and many festivals and variety of food and events.

Temperature / tidal change... not so much variety!

Anything is possible if you can write a large enough check.

The "Malaysia as a second home" program is a lot cheaper.
