Now live in US. Would choose New Zealand, no question about it. There wouldn't be any "have to" about it either. I'd actually take a huge pay cut to live there. Actually screw the pay cut, jut give me good tent and an out house and I'll live on the beach.

I best liked living in Switzerland and Austria, but willing to try on some other countries as well.
besides the USA...Have lived in Canada (Gulf islands), Asia (Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China), Spain, England...
Spouse has no interest in Africa or India... that is too bad, but I won't push the issue. If I survive the longest ... I can go there and live for awhile in PEACE. (no nagging / "told you so"). If I croak first.. (likely) Spouse will have a GREAT time living internationally. We much prefer to be gone than to be home.
