I had to buy the DVD Region 1 USA UK version season 2, there are parts not shown in the PBS viewing, the Christmas show is on that, I hope it is shown on PBS.

Oh how I love Maggie Smith!

Try here for more BBC suggestions here on CD, a year or two ago I had posted in the USA TV posts about BBC, didn't get too many replies.

"The Duchess of Duke Street" is one not to miss also "The Forsyte Saga" the original black & white version.

also "The North and the South" from BBC this is not the Patrick Swayze USA series

I think what she has over him, that neither has realized yet, is that the times are changing very rapidly at this point, and a scandal of this nature after World War I isn't going to have nearly the impact it would have had pre-war. And it's a bit ironic, because Richard and his paper, are ushering in this new era. Tabloid journalism lives off of scandal, but there has to be a new scandal all the time. Mrs Simpson is coming!

Question- will the Christmas episode be shown in the US right after the second season finishes? According to the PBS site there are two more episodes left for this season and I'm wondering if the Christmas episode will be one of those or will it be shown at a later date?

The UK version of Downton Abbey had a Christmas special and I was wondering if this special was going to air in the US as well? (hopefully before Christmas!)

The Christmas episode is the final episode of the season that PBS is currently airing.

That's what I heard through a private message. Kind of wish I hadn't watched the video preview, but I couldn't help myself. It's a big spoiler everyone, so watch at your own peril.

Wow, that was quite a preview!! Makes me wish that I watched the whole season in a weekend like I did with the first one! Kind of like when you read a good book and can't put it down! I can't wait!!
