I'd be shocked if Ted showed up in the last 2. Once upon a time (2 weeks ago) I thought that Hank might actually use Ted in his investigation to connect the dots of Skyler's dirty tax money and Walt somehow. Alas, that never happened.

Yeah, too much going on for Ted to show up. I think the last two episodes will cover Walt ending up in NH, what brings him back and then what he does with the ricin and the M60.

Agree, I think we will have to settle for a few minor loose ends - Ted, Grey Matter and Gretchen, Gus's background in Chile.

I think the first two have been answered to an extent, Ted is paralyzed and terrified of Skyler so he'll leave her alone, Walt felt inferior to Gretchen's parents so that's why he broke up with her (I think someone posted a link to an interview explaining that earlier in this thread).

Regarding Gus's background, in one of the flashbacks with the cousins and Hector (the one where he pretended to drown one of them), Hector is on the phone and it's pretty clear he's talking about Gus and his partner and at one point Hector sarcastically mentions generalissimo which makes me think Gus was involved in the Chilean army at one point. Of course that doesn't explain why/how he ended up in New Mexico running a meth ring.

At first I wanted to understand more about Grey Matter and Gus's background but this season has been so good that I'm fine with what they've given us so far.

Better Call Saul, as someone mentioned. I am slowly getting into Justified and may try the Sopranos again someday (didn't like what I saw of it, ditto for The Wire). The Bridge (though it's ending for awhile now too), House of Cards, American Horror Story, The Fall, Orange is the New Black. None of these will replace BB though...I don't know if there will ever be a show as high quality on all levels (writing, acting, story, humor, etc.) Homeland, Luther, Mad Men, SoA, etc. are nowhere near as good imo.

Out of all those you listed my top pick would House of Cards waiting now on the 2nd season to start.

I agree, its like they just jumbled all these characters in for no reason. The real climax of the show was with Gus and we are just coming down from this drug high of tv viewing.

Ditto here. I'd love to have seen Gus' background. I have a hope that we'll see some of that in the Better Call Saul show, since it is a prequel, but I am not holding my breath.

As far as recommendations of other shows to check out, I'd recommend Sherlock. There are only 6 episodes (2 seasons) but they're 90 minutes apiece and a third season is slated for January. Maybe not a long term solution for losing BB, but it's very good.
