After freezing subarctic night, with the low temp several degrees cooler than forecast thanks to a traditional seabreeze/ cold front, it looks like it'll reach 21C today even though it's full overcast as per crap.

oh hang on a sec, it hit 20C at 9am but now at 10:30am it's back to a mid-july like 16C. Lame. Seabreeze no. 2 moving through, and some suburbs are bitterly cold with only 13-14C and overcast. Horses ass

^^What a bummer...looks like your temperatures are getting even colder.

A nondescript mid-spring day here mostly sunny with a high of 23C.

Great day for my comfort this Tuesday.

13 C/56 F in my backyard at sunrise
20 C/68 F and 38% humidity at 9am
33 C/92 F and 8% humidity at 3pm

My most favourite part was it was 26 C/78 F just before sunset.

*Humidity too low and wind levels too high for gardening though;
many plants need daily water desparately with this kind of weather.

If I could make this weather ideal,
I'd flesh out the humidity numbers by 20-30% (58-68% at 9am, 28-38% at 3pm...)
add a short, 10 minute sunshower late morning
and cut the windspeed down to a faint waft, not a breeze.

A gentle NE wind is my new best friend.

It is currently 18 C / 65 F at 11pm
and this is only mid-spring.
In Canada it generally has to be summer, or
nearly summer for such evening warmth.

Cocktober is colder and cloudier than average here aswell. And certainly no sign of any thunderstorms which were a feature of last year's October.

Days as cold as 16C STILL in the forecast, jesus christ monkey balls I am sick of this ****. This really is a pathetic subarctic climate. Infact, Melbourne is actually an administrative region of Le Dump.

today was supposed to be 23C, didn't even get remotely near it, but what else is new in this polar climate? Some suburbs didn't even exceed 18C for ****'s sake

I was in Melbourne last weekend (ran in the half marathon on Sunday morning). Saturday's cool and grey weather made me glad I live up here . But got lucky with Sunday as it was very sunny and excellent running conditions.

In all honesty could never see myself living down there (have done my time with those sort of conditions), although think the city itself is very nice .

It was 36.5C/98F today and it will probably be a little warmer tomorrow. That is about 20C higher than the maximum 10 days ago. That sort of variation in a single month is not something I see very often here.

The next week is looking dry (what a surprise), although there is the very slight chance of a storm tomorrow. It looks like October will end up similar to August and September, with above average maximums, below average minimums, and below average humidity and rainfall.

Never knew Melbourne was more like New Zealand. Always thought of Melbourne with someplace like Seattle. Overcast and drizzle all winter long but clears up in the summer.
