I see this as only happening in places with a tropical or close to tropical climate (with not much difference between spring and summer temps) or in an oceanic climate with little variation in seasons. What type of climate do these places have?
Yes, Spring is almost too hot for even trying to put new young plants in the ground.

Some mornings I soak new plants with 10-20mm worth of water for at least 0.5 metres radius
only to see the tips of the plants baked and burnt by the sun at 4pm;
plants that I bought that were already living outside in a garden centre and looked great there.

Newcastle, NSW is a "temperate, oceanic climate" by Australian standards.

SUCH a HOT night in BA!!!!!!!!!! :c rying:

So, i just come home from an outdoor party. When i left the house, at 9pm, temp was 25.5 celsius, such a sauna-like night!! when i arrived to the party my jeans were completely stuck to my body like if they had glue on them...such a bad night to wear jeans!! Only able to wear skirts or shorts....wayyy to hot!!

Now i arrived at home, and being 2:20 in the morning, i just checked the national weather service and temp is 22c........YUCK X 100000!!!

i HATE HATE HATE HATE hot nights more than anything. I could even tolerate very hot days if only the nights were much colder here!!! yuck: 25 celsius nights in october...whats next?? 40 celsius nights in january???

That is pretty hot for night time temps. That's how July is up here, not in the spring time!

Thankfully the -8c 850 isotherm is siting over the uk right now.

The 24c isotherm can shove its ass down to south africa for the winter.

I think for me, nights have to be 5C warmer for me to be able to sweat like that. I find 25C in the dark "distinctly-warm but pleasant". That's probably why I liked Townsville and found most evenings comfortable, even in the Wet Season
